Reception have waited for ages to see the butterflies returned to the environment. We were excited to let them go. Watching them grow from tiny caterpillars into butterflies has been fantastic.
Reception have been learning about Minibeasts . We worked as a team to make a fantastic home for our bug friends . Over the next few weeks we will checkout what is happening. A spider, woodlouse and a slug have moved in so far. Maybe you could build one at home.
Nursery have been learning about colour and how it can be changed. We mixed paints to see what would happen.Planting our seeds waiting to see when they will grow. The children have also been working on improving their co ordination skills .
Nursery went on a bear hunt. The children liked spraying the bear with water. He did not mind. We made muddy footprints. It was fun blowing the snow around the playground. Nursery took turns retelling the story with our story box and everybody loved hiding in the cave.
As well as encouraging childrenโs independence and nurturing a wide range of learning behaviours, a well-planned and carefully resourced environment supports the acquisition, development and progression of skills and competencies.

This week we have been reading the story We're going on a bear hunt.
We took our learning outside to go go on our own bear hunt. And found one shiny wet nose! Two big furry ears! Two big goggly eyes!
IT'S A BEAR!!!!
This year for Comic Relief on 19th March, we'd like children to dress as 'Superheroes' in return for a ยฃ1 donation. You don't need to buy a costume - be creative and make your own, for example, Times Table Girl/Boy, or Super Handwriting Girl/Boy #Comicrelief#somethingfunny
