Would be nice for users to set and order preferred methods of consumption per type of media too, and of course also aggregate these in apps. Social media platforms could render these ala Facebook Shop and Instagram Shopping do with data feeds of catalogues.

This would be useful for finding out information like x person in y band also makes music as z, or maybe even makes games or writes books. Discovery is key without needing to trawl through years upon years of blog posts to understand a person or group's creative output.

Could also define a 'preferred' version or location to buy/stream from to support the creator. E.g. new fans might not know about new versions of music from @wheatus or @taylorswift13, and this means no research necessary to support a creator appropriately from day one.

An open web standard similar to RSS for media discovery would be great. E.g. Visit a personal blog, don't know the person is an author/musician/etc, but their '/media' can be parsed and provide a discog and where it is possible to obtain officially, e.g. store, platform, protocol
