¿Por qué julio está dedicado a la Preciosísima Sangre de Cristo?🙏

Cada mes del año invita a la Iglesia a profundizar en un aspecto particular de la fe, y julio está consagrado a la Preciosísima Sangre de Cristo, un recordatorio del inmenso amor con el que Jesús entregó su vida por la humanidad. Los católicos creemos que la sangre que Jesucristo derramó en la cruz de modo cruento es la misma sangre sacramental (vino consagrado) presente en la Eucaristía, entregada también, pero de modo incruento.

Esta devoción tiene profundas raíces en la historia de la Iglesia. Su origen se remonta al siglo XIX, cuando el Beato Papa Pío IX vivía exiliado en Gaeta, Italia, durante la primera guerra de independencia italiana. Allí recibió el consejo de Giovanni Merlini, superior de los Misioneros de la Preciosísima Sangre, quien le sugirió extender esta celebración a toda la Iglesia. Poco después, en 1849, Pío IX instituyó oficialmente la fiesta de la Preciosísima Sangre, fijándola inicialmente para el primer domingo de julio.

Con el paso de los años, la celebración fue tomando mayor relevancia. En 1914, San Pío X estableció su conmemoración el 1 de julio, y en 1934 el Papa Pío XI la elevó al rango de Solemnidad con motivo del Jubileo de la Redención. Tras el Concilio Vaticano II, la festividad dejó de formar parte del calendario litúrgico universal, pero la Iglesia conservó esta devoción mediante una Misa votiva que puede celebrarse durante todo el mes de julio, reforzando al mismo tiempo la centralidad de la solemnidad del Corpus Christi.

Hoy, julio sigue siendo una invitación especial para contemplar el sacrificio de Cristo y agradecer el don de la salvación. La Preciosísima Sangre nos recuerda que el amor de Dios se manifestó hasta el extremo, derramándose por cada persona como fuente de vida, esperanza y reconciliación. Contemplar este misterio es renovar la confianza en la misericordia divina y reconocer que, por la sangre de Cristo, fuimos rescatados y llamados a una vida nueva.

Super Junior's Choi Siwon wins U.S. court approval to unmask malicious commenters

The U.S. court granted Siwon's request to access the identities of 10 malicious commenters. The judge explained that the First Amendment's free speech protections do not apply to foreign citizens living outside the U.S.

Previously, Siwon has been facing hate comments since former president Yoon Sukyeol declared martial law in December. In February, when the former president was sentenced to life in prison, he posted a Bible verse along with a Chinese idiom that means, 'The unjust will inevitably perish, collapsing completely like crumbling earth and shattered roof tiles.'

NEW UPDATE OF SIWON'S LEGAL ACTION IN FEBRUARY 2026

Choi Siwon, a singer and actor who is a member Super Junior, has filed a lawsuit against individuals who posted malicious online content targeting him. It has recently been confirmed that he successfully obtained identifying information about the defendants through a U.S. court.

According to reporting by Sisa Journal on July 3, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted Choi Siwon's request on July 2 for pretrial discovery against 10 users of overseas platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.

In May, Choi filed a civil lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court seeking damages from the 10 individuals for defamation and insult. To identify the defendants so the lawsuit could proceed, he also petitioned the U.S. court to compel X and Google, which operate the platforms, to disclose identifying information such as their names, dates of birth, and addresses.

Choi's legal team argued that, based on the Korean language used in the posts and the account location information, there was no reason to believe any of the users were U.S. citizens or located in the United States, and therefore requested that the discovery application be granted.
The U.S. court approved the request. In particular, the judge cited legal precedent that the First Amendment's free speech protections do not apply to foreign nationals outside U.S. territory. The court found that the posts concerned a resident of South Korea and that there was no evidence the authors were U.S. citizens, meaning there was little risk of infringing First Amendment rights. The judge also determined that the requested disclosure was narrowly limited to information necessary to identify the defendants and was not overly broad.

As a result of the ruling, Choi Siwon can now continue his lawsuit in South Korea. His agency, SM Entertainment, had previously stated that it was collecting evidence of false information and mocking posts to protect its artists and would progressively expand legal action against verified unlawful conduct, suggesting that further legal measures are expected.

La Santa Sede declara excomulgados a los seis obispos implicados en las consagraciones de la Fraternidad Sacerdotal San Pío X (SSPX).

Según el decreto publicado por el Vaticano:

• El obispo Alfonso de Galarreta, consagrante principal, cometió “un acto de naturaleza cismática” al conferir la consagración episcopal sin mandato pontificio.

• Los cuatro obispos consagrados han incurrido ipso facto en la excomunión latae sententiae reservada a la Santa Sede.

• El obispo Bernard Fellay, como co-consagrador, “adhirió públicamente al acto cismático” y también ha sido declarado excomulgado.

Además, la Santa Sede advierte a los clérigos y fieles laicos que no se unan al cisma de la Fraternidad Sacerdotal San Pío X, ya que “incurrirían ipso facto en la pena de excomunión latae sententiae”.

Se trata de la respuesta oficial del Vaticano tras las consagraciones episcopales realizadas sin el mandato del Papa, repitiéndose un escenario similar al de 1988.
