I tried eBaseball Pro Spirit 25 last year and I felt like I could enjoy the game, but the language barrier and the constant use of translators made it hard to get into.

Now with Pro Spirit 26 having a full English option in the game I can confirm that this game is as good as I thought it would be.

I have been playing the career mode and while I love MLB The Show this has way more depth and actually requires you to do things outside of just playing baseball.

The hitting system, while very different from MLB the show, is very rewarding because of just how difficult it is and when you hit a bomb it feels so good and rewarding.

Im still very early into the game and I cant wait to try the other modes, but if you are someone who enjoys baseball games and want a break from MLB The Show and the sad missteps they keep making. For $60, there are alot worse things you can spend your money on and I think its a damn good time

1000% needs work. I will say, (not this is confirmed or absolves them from any feedback) more then likely, every piece of correspondence has to be approved by a Sony rep. This is very common in the game industry.

It would not shock me if Sony has intentionally withheld certain correspondence or updates due to what they think could hurt the brand and money making efforts.

We are seeing this exact issue with EA and CFB. Companies doubling down or intentionally ignoring feedback. Hoping it will blow over and they can move on to selling you another large predatory collection.

As someone with a very brief stint working at 2k years and years ago as a QA. I saw how things are prioritized when it came bugs, and features in the game. I can only imagine that its only gotten worse from there.

This aligns 100% with my theory that Sony has been the main issue behind MLBs descent this year.

Sony has said multiple times that live service games as the future. And what is Sony only real successful live service?

Every decision, every egregious monetization tactic, every lack of communication. This is all done on the Sony end to squeeze every dollar they could.

I’m sure they have numbers that show that current players sell more then legend additions and that it’s cheaper then getting more and more legends.

While SDS is not 100% free from constructive feedback. I think to me it’s very clear that Sony has had their finger on SDS and MLB The Show a lot more these last couple of years. Really trying to maximize monetization efforts and eventually become what EA and 2K have been doing for years

I think @OhChev said in a video recently that it seems that MLB the Show has gotten directive to focus more on current players and less on legends in the game.

Of the new All-Star cards shown, a lot are repeats. Sanchez has 3 diamonds, Mis has 3 diamonds, Yordan has 3, etc. Makes some of this feel rehashed.

I really do hope this is simply “SDS dum dum company making stupid mistakes”

But as someone who has played Destiny for years before and after Sony acquired them.

The writing is on the wall. Sony sees consumers as purely wallets they can just continue to take money out of. They just have to dangle a carrot of “here is this new feature, or card I know you really want”

It’s sad and deplorable.
