@TomasJHeneghan@OireachtasNews We should all, perhaps, have concerns about the quality of data available for download from the oieachtas site. 👇🏾

We used only official data, downloaded directly from https://t.co/dhPI768hLO, to compile our posts today.
An interesting point we noted in one particular official oireachtas file is the mention of "Sinn Féil".
We took the liberty of correcting this in our analysis.
@TomasJHeneghan@OireachtasNews We repeat: we relied upon the data downloads from the https://t.co/dhPI768hLO website. The concerns you raise originate from the official oireachtas csv file.
@TomasJHeneghan@OireachtasNews You are advising us to use the exact website which we used and which we have repeatedly informed you that we used.
We suggest you direct any concerns you have about the data downloads from that website directly to @OireachtasNews.
@TomasJHeneghan@OireachtasNews That is precisely the website we used, as advised above.
Since you have raised concerns about the data available as a download from said website, we again ask, what ALTERNATIVE site would you suggest?

@TomasJHeneghan Download the file here to verify that the oireachtas website includes all you mention as TDs together with party info.

In short, the fault for the issues you raise lies with @OireachtasNews upon whose data we reasonably relied.

@TomasJHeneghan Our lists are based exclusively upon the official information available from https://t.co/dhPI768hLO - specifically the "current" TDs per the CSV file available on the oireachtas website.

@AineNG14 There was another vote the night of the Hate Crime Bill on the Seanad Electoral Amendment Bill.
There were 72 tá votes for that one - linked below - we suspect that is the voting record causing confusion.
https://t.co/3SfGqXkYpQ
@AineNG14 Where are you seeing a tá vote? Is it perhaps a vote on a different topic?
If you check the link below, Troy is NOT listed as having voted (tá or níl) for the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences) Bill.

@mulhall_stephen Indeed. Precisely why we acknowledge that some on the list may have valid excuse for not voting.
Nevertheless, the above all remain listed as current TDs in the list of 160 current TDs downloadable as a csv file from the oireachtas website - hence their inclusion.
These are the 30 TDs who did NOT show up for the crucial vote on the Hate Speech Bill.
While some may have valid excuse, we suspect the majority of total moral cowardice OR having made a strategic decision to be absent.
These TDs could have changed last night's shameful outcome
Here is the list of TDs who voted to enshrine an absurd definition of "gender" into Irish law last night.
These TDs also voted to create a new and appalling hierarchical system of justice in Ireland.
Shame on every one of them.

@ClaireClarkson_ A vote was taken on the Criminal Justice (Incitement to Violence or Hatred and Hate Offences) Bill which has been informally referred to as the "Hate Speech Bill".

@28benjamin65 @CormacLaffan@wobbla1759@VeronaMurphyInd@OireachtasNews "While some may have valid excuse, we suspect the majority of total moral cowardice OR having made a strategic decision to be absent."
Our point stands.
And again we request: Please suggest an alternative, official source of data upon which we could base our work.

@LorcanMacfadden Apologies! Didn't get to this as quickly as hoped.
