The senate voted against eliminating the other six programs recommended for elimination:

- Master of Accounting
- Master of Public Administration
- Physics major
- Astronomy major
- Rhetoric and Media Studies major
- Rhetoric minor

The Faculty Senate voted in favor of eliminating the evidence-based health care graduate certificate, the east Asian studies minor and the religion major.

Voting has been completed for the motion to eliminate the rhetoric minor, which was the last motion on the agenda. The results of the votes have not been released yet.

The Board of Trustees can eliminate academic programs without the agreement of the Faculty Senate, according to Provost Sue Mattison.
