Charlie Kirk was murdered in front of an audience that came to hear his voice. The killer’s goal was not just to end a life, but to make an example of him for anyone who dares to speak freely.

A society that tolerates the dehumanization of political opponents is a society that invites this kind of bloodshed. The rhetoric that paints fellow citizens as enemies to be destroyed is not harmless — it is the seedbed of assassination.

If we value freedom, we cannot let this stand. The rest of us must ensure Charlie’s work lives on and that the ideology responsible for his death is hunted down and eliminated from public life.
