Residents in MOSSLEY are demanding answers after disturbing allegations emerged against Hartshead Meats Ltd in Tameside.

Animal rights activists claim footage from inside the abattoir shows serious welfare abuses, including allegations of a secret non-stun KOSHER line and HALAL slaughter practices.

The claims include animals allegedly remaining conscious during slaughter and reports of blood flowing down nearby country lanes, sparking outrage among locals.

Protests are taking place, with campaigners now calling for a full investigation into the slaughterhouse practices.

We need very strong laws for people who hurt animals. This crime deserves 20 years with no discount on the sentence.
