Wrapping up Bracketology for the winter season and discovered another insane stat. Again, it's Tappan Zee boys basketball.

The Dutchmen lost on Saturday in the Class A Federation semi to Albany Academy. They trailed big late and lost 59-55. A streak stayed in tact.

Tappan Zee's three losses this season were by 2, 2 and 4 points. So I researched and found this:

The last time Tappan Zee boys lost a game by more than 10 points: January 23, 2014, a 60-37 defeat at Pearl River. TZ has now gone 208 straight games without losing by more than 10 points.

In that stretch, they've lost three times by exactly 10 points - twice to the Rickey McGill/Kai Mitchell Spring Valley team in 2015; and most recently a 59-49 defeat to Poughkeepsie on March 4, 2020 in the Class A semis.

Since then, Tappan Zee is 56-5 overall. Those 5 losses have been by a combined 24 points. @TZeeAthletics @TZhoops
