ESPN is awful for hockey. This isn’t the golden era of Gary Thorne actually caring about hockey and having awesome goal calls. This is the ESPN with awful audio, announcers that have no idea what’s going on and a social media team that probably isn’t even watching.
Tough night for ESPN on Twitter. Stankoven didn’t score the equalizer, Jankowski did, and the fact that the puck is in the net has no bearing on whether or not this is interference. Not saying it has to be perfect, but if you’re broadcasting the final, I expect better.
It's like ESPN relayed into his ear piece five seconds into the goal call "dude what the fuck are you doing...we already suck with the atmosphere and now this?"
What a disaster from Sean McDonough here
@DenverGazette What a weird/awful/stupid post. The guy wills others to win. He's one of the best players on earth. He wants to be great and you're telling him to grow up. What a loser
There’s a lot of shit about airports that irks me but crowding the gate just to wait in line to sit on a plane for longer than you have to may take the cake.
It’s the same level as the people who stand up in the middle and back of the plane the second the plane is at the gate.
@PeteBlackburn It's been evident for a long time it's the dumbest playoff format that sports has to offer. Guys are going to go to war no matter who they're playing...we don't need "rivalries" early. It's just pathetic and by the time it's conference finals...one team is always dead.
@Avalanche@kylekeefetv Such a heartbreaking end to a seemingly assume guy. Seeing how he walked out in Montreal the other night is tragic. What should have been the biggest moment of euphoria was probably the final light in his life.
RIP Pepe.
@greedylocks1@tancredipalmeri It was at 0-4 in the third. I saw sinner wince and thought it could have been something and FD grades with retirement so took a shot
Imagine being celebrated by the most electric crowd in pro sports yet knowing you're likely going to end your life soon.
This is just devastating and goes to show you never know what anyone is dealing with.
RIP Claude Lemieux.
The obsession and homer broadcasting from the announcers with Vegas over the Avs is dumbfounding...Vegas scores a goal? most exciting thing that's ever happened. Colorado scores? Ho-hum
