When I hear someone say, “Chase money, not six-packs,” I hear more than a preference. I hear a philosophy of life, and often, a rather impoverished one.
A six-pack is not the objective. It is a visible consequence of discipline, physical fitness and relatively low body fat. It is one of the many signals that someone has chosen to take care of their body. And that matters because health is wealth. There is little value in accumulating money you are too sick to enjoy. Many people have spent years chasing wealth only to spend their fortunes trying to buy back the health they neglected while making it.
The false dichotomy between money and fitness is intellectually lazy. You can build wealth and build your body. You can pursue financial freedom while maintaining physical discipline. In fact, the same qualities that build a strong body, consistency, delayed gratification, discipline and self-control, are often the very qualities required to build anything meaningful in life.
What is more revealing is the mentality behind the statement. Some people don't merely reject fitness; they need to ridicule it to rationalise their own lack of discipline. They turn physical neglect into a philosophy and then pretend it is wisdom.
And there is often another contradiction hiding underneath it: “Don't chase six-packs, chase money.” For what? Status? Validation? Women? Social approval? If you are going to condemn people for pursuing physical attractiveness while spending your entire life pursuing financial status for the same validation, the contradiction is obvious.
Your priorities reveal your values. How you treat your body, your money, your relationships and your responsibilities tells me far more about your character than the motivational slogans you repeat.
So no, I don't take “chase money, not six-packs” as profound wisdom. More often, it sounds like someone trying to intellectualise indiscipline.
Build the body. Build the mind. Build the wealth. Build the character. You don't have to choose.

RETURN TO SILENCE
The moment you realize that you are not living your life,
The moment you discover that you are sacrificing your health, wealth and welfare for a woman and you get nothing in return,
The moment you learn that you have become something else, an exhausted man, worn-out, used, haggard, a shadow of what you used to be,
That is when the reality begins to kick in.
You are a MANIPULATED MAN.
A MANIPULATED MAN has lost everything he owned.
His health, his sleep, his energy, his goal, his vision.
His woman is only warm to him when she wants to benefit, but becomes colder when it doesn't serve her.
Once this reality kicks in, a manipulated man returns to silence.
That silence terrifies both the manipulated man and his manipulative wife.
Because silence will become a mirror that tells the man THE TRUTH.
The manipulated man is terrified of the truth because truth will pierce his heart like a sharp sword slicing his pound of flesh.
The truth is that he has been living a lie, and this is the truth he fears.
But it is the truth.
The woman is also scared that the truth will restrict her access to the man, block benefits and wake up the man from his sleep.
It is here that the woman will tell the man,
"Your silent treatment is the reason I don't respect you anymore."
"If you continue treating me with your silence, I will leave, and you will never find a wife like me again."
"I am the only woman who understands you; no other woman can tolerate your silent treatment."
All these guilt-trips and gaslighting to keep the man under a tight leash of ignorance and manipulation.
And the man will become guilty, and attempt to go back to the old self,
The old manipulated man who chose comfortable silence instead of confrontation to keep the peace, and he continues to suffer in his peace, while tolerating manipulation because he is so terrified to return to silence.
DON'T BE AFRAID of SILENCE, because silence is where your truth lives.
Silence makes you see your shadow and observe its depth.
Silence makes a man see his flaws and his weaknesses.
Silence makes you connect with your spiritual truthfulness.
Silence makes you see who truly values you and who says she values you just because of the emotional, psychological and financial access you gave them.
RETURN TO SILENCE,
You will see what your ordinary self never saw.
SILENCE is the antidote to EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION.
