@AZaremskiy @reduzio@PedrornsSilva You want to defend Godot. But from what? From the Russians? Or from smart, literate people who make the engine better, while in no way expressing their opinion about what is happening in the world?
@AZaremskiy @reduzio@PedrornsSilva And for what purpose? Has the game engine miraculously become a military weapon? Or is it important to you that everyone consider your opinion to be the only true one? A conflict is a conflict, but to involve in it something that has nothing to do with it is extremely strange.
@GiantArtisan @NathanGDQuest no adequate ruler will be in power for so long. people have already stopped believing that it will ever end. obtrusive totalitarianism in all its glory.
@GiantArtisan @NathanGDQuest Russian people were tired of politics, so they ignored it in every possible way, since the voice of the people has not decided anything in this country for a long time. the discontent of the people does not affect anything. and we live with it.
Playing with a new attack spell prototype today, the ๐๐ฟ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐๐๐- a tricky mid-range spell that can bypass obstacles and do double-damage if you're good with it, but also easily misses if you're not.
Not sure how it feels yet, but I think it's got potential? #indiedev
I'm trying to fix the tri() API function to work with subpixel precision and it seems, we have to fix all the drawing functions in the same manner. #TIC80
As part of the issue https://t.co/NQLwP25Y9X
it's clear that everyone wants to make money and that "if you don't want to make money, you're lying to yourself." however, if this is the only goal, go to hell. I came to gamedev to make games and I will eat the earth, but to make games, not products.
fuck that. in 2022, I will open my own studio, which will not belittle mobile games and their "publishers", who now and then only pour money into advertising. there are no games in mobile games. only money.
and if at the beginning of the year I could still tell people to choose unity for some projects, now I will try in every possible way to dissuade them from this.
I love Godot. and this year I fell in love with him even more.
hey! Where have I been for so long? yes, nothing surprising. I just went to earn a living at the end of 2020. and I started doing this with Unity, which I discovered for the first time when I was asked to do a test assignment for admission to my first job as a game developer.
and you know what? @UnityTechnology , go fuck yourself. maybe @godotengine is not so good in places, but at least it gets better every year, and you still can't write a normal serializer. my time is more valuable than waiting for "Hold on.." with every sneeze.
