I'm starting this account to share my work as a composer.
I make electro/acoustic music and love to work on textures and timbres with soundfields recordings.
Here is a little sample of a recent sound exploration.
@Re_Lo__ It's not exactly this genre but if you can have a listen to "Artisoma" and "MUADEEP" they are both masters of space and groove and pretty good references for me
@Re_Lo__ Everything is to steady and constant. If you were shortening the length of the basse notes, adding volume automation (or slower attack) on your synth it would create more space and movement and give less the sensation that you are relying on sidechain pumping effect for groove.
@Re_Lo__ Also it would gain in movement and groove if you were automating (adding envelope) on the volume of this synth. Just to make it "sweep up". My sensation here is that there is a lack of space and it swallows the groove of it all.
@Re_Lo__ For action sequence honestly the second can work perfectly but also lacks a bit of movement. There is a "conflict" between you steady pad h on the side (Ab to F to Ab etc..) and your drum and basse transitions. The synth transition in anticipation rather than with them
I recently composed 3 pieces Inspired by the game "LIA" from the dev
@Hevaaak
. It's a fan work and I'm not affiliated with the Dev but the contemplative, immersive and melancholic atmospher of his footage made me compose this pieces.. Here is the third one
