There are lots of @X posts asking why societies don’t make beautiful things today like was done previously. While there are many aspects to an answer, the change that has occurred has been largely philosophical.

Beauty has now been deemed to be a vaporous concept in our modern world. Ockham denied natures, Locke denied knowing reality outside the mind, Hume denied discovering value, Kant denied any knowledge of the real thing in itself. Once this Philosophy took hold, the question of Beauty no longer made sense.

The only option for a remedy is to restore Classical Realism as the predominant Philosophy in the West!
