Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generationโs timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.

Forever in our hearts.
@TheEagleyeNews@buster_mega45 Incredible idea. What about copper like the Statue of Liberty? Stone is the best for looks, but copper and steal have a bit more of an American identity.
@LukeSlywaker I used to live a couple of blocks from here. Absolutely tragic. Loving your country shouldn't be a death sentence. The time to fight back has been years ago; we should start catching up.
@Ravenismeee Get Smart, The Honeymooners, Laurel and Hardy skits, Andy Griffith Show, Hogan's Heroes, Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, Lassie, you get the idea.
@ick_real At 6 years old, I dreamt I was lost in a snowy Alaskan forest in the 1800's. Indian totem poles came to life and were chasing me. My dad and brother rescued me. Later we had dinner on a Mississippi-style riverboat.
I have no clue how 6-year-old me knew what any of that was.
