@TimKalyegira Africa's major problem is being ruled by greedy, primitive, tribalistic/nepotistic and sadistic rulers! Majority of these fellows deliberately keep the populace in abject poverty simply because a poor population is easy to rule/manipulate! Imagine!
@DanielLutaaya Mbu risked their lives to 'save' Uganda! Which Uganda did they save? And what were they saving it from? The leaders they fought to overthrow performed much better than the ones they brought. You must be an ignorant fellow!
THE TRUTH ABOUT HOW THE HUTU/TUTSI CONFLICT STARTED WHICH THEY HIDE FROM YOU!
When the Tutsi nomadic people arrived in the region, there was no tribal land for them to settle.
They had either to integrate or assimilate into various Bantu agricultural communities.
Like the Twa who are nomadic and who prefer to live near farmers, the Tutsi also always preferred to live among farmers. Farmers had settlements and farms that everybody needed.
The first wave of the Tutsi entered through Uganda and probably the Bahima, and they were assimilated into the Bairu Bantu farmers of Ankole and intermarried. They became one community known as Banyankole. The Bahima would then seek to dominate the Bairu to benefit from their labor.
The Tutsi also settled in Tanzania, mainly in the province of Kagera and Kigoma. They mixed with Wahaya, Wahangaza, Wanyambo, and Wahaa.
The Tutsi also entered Rwanda and Burundi, the land of Hutu agriculturalists. Later wars of expansion pushed the fleeing Tutsi into Congo, in Masisi, Rutschuro, and Nyiragongo, where the Hutu had settlements.
At the time the Tutsi arrived in Rwanda, they were already a Bantu speaking ethnic group. They had already mixed with the Bantu in Uganda. That's why many Tutsi names originated from the Kinyankole language.
So, Bantu kings were attracted to Tutsi women and married them. That's how the Tutsi found themselves mixing with Bantu royals, and slow by slow, they would eventually inherit the kingdom through those intermarriages.
There are cases where Tutsi women would get married to a Bantu king and secretly get impregnated by their fellow Tutsi to have a pure Tutsi firstborn who would secretly become the next king.
After years of Tutsi assimilation and intermarriages, a new Tutsi wave arrived, the Nyiginya clan. Their daughters were married to Hutu kings and had children.
Later, the Nyiginya betrayed the Hutu royals, killed them, and inherited the kingdom. This is the first conflict between the Hutu and the Tutsi. The Hutu became subjects.
At this time they were more than 30 small Hutu kingdoms in the region, and the Tutsi were scattered within them.
It's from here where the Tutsi of Nyiginya clan set a plan to conquer all Hutu kingdoms and unite them under one king, where Hutu were subjects. These wars would come to last for centuries.
Upon arrival, Germany colonizers sided with the Tutsi and helped them to conquer many Hutu kingdoms in the present day Rwandan territory. The Germans started telling the Tutsi that they were more superior to the Bantu, that they were of a Caucasian race, very intelligent, then both treated the Hutu as subjects, pushed the Hutu into increased forced and hard colonial labor, until 1959 when the Hutu revolted.
By siding with colonizers, the Hutu saw Tutsi royals as the equivalence of colonizers.
After the Hutu revolution, Tutsi royals fled to neighboring countries and persuaded ordinary Tutsi to follow them as a political tactic. The Tutsi refused. This created hatred against them, which actually resulted in the 1994 genocide as revenge for choosing the Hutu side.
Paul Kagame is the grandson of these Tutsi royals, who were expansionists and always warring with neighboring kingdoms.
In their expansionist agenda, they would use the Tutsi scattered into neighboring Kingdoms, many times married there, for spying and infritration. This is why every time there is a Hutu/Tutsi conflict, many families find themselves into conflicts because of intermarriages.
The Hutu accuse Tutsi women of spying. Sometimes it's true, and other times, it's not.
The ancient kingdom of Rwanda tried to capture the Kingdom of Burundi and failed. They tried to annex Tanzania's Karagwe and failed. A famous Rwandan king, Rwabugiri, was killed by Congolese of the Shii kingdom while trying to conquer them.
Grand sons and daughters of royals of the kingdom of Rwanda are behind all the Hutu/Tutsi in the region.
THIS IS THE TRUE HISTORY!
@CanaryMugume NUP wanted to embarrass Segona but ended up embarrassing themselves! You can not replace Ssegona with Walukagga, that was a grave mistake! They should apologise to Ssegona and lure him back.
