My solution: zero tolerance for drugs in prison. Drug criminals must undergo regular drug tests to earn release, and isolation for prison drug kingpins.

Drug-free prisoners will focus on skill-building & rehabilitation so they can be good citizens on release.

Prime Minister Carney’s address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg rested on several foundational errors.

The claim that freedom was won “thanks to the heroism of the European resistance” is historically false. Western Europe was liberated by the armed forces of the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. The subsequent emancipation of the Soviet empire was the product of the American strategy of containment. Canada’s role was particularly notable: a volunteer force from a country that had never been attacked or threatened by the Axis powers.

The European institutions have succeeded in reducing internal economic barriers and managing inter-state cooperation. As an economic administration, however, they have not been a success at all. In 2008 the GDP of Europe and the United States were roughly equal; the United States now stands at 140 percent of the EU’s. Much of this relative decline is attributable to the prolonged suppression of fossil fuels—an agenda Carney himself promoted for years.

Carney also omitted the decisive commercial reality: Canada sends roughly 70 percent of its exports to the United States (98% of which is unaffected by the recent tariffs) and only 6 percent to Europe. The United States accounts for half of the Canadian economy; Canada accounts for three percent of theirs. These proportions are not altered by elaborate metaphors about the transplantation of trees between Vimy and Milliken.

Until Canada recovers the relative prosperity it enjoyed with the United States a decade ago, there is little strategic sense in the prime minister travelling to the Rhine to deliver a wistful reflection on the failure of Canada and Europe to produce a superior political ethos while remaining economically competitive.

For twenty years the American economy has grown more than twice as fast as the European Union’s. Europe is wallowing economically; its principal powers flounder while only Italy presently possesses a serious government.

The romantic notion that the old European powers, having squandered their leadership in the world, can simply stand on one another’s shoulders and reclaim planetary primacy is a delusion.

My family lived through the establishment of the state of Israel and what he calls the “Nakba.” The Holocaust was nothing like the events of the “Nakba” where my grandfather was told to flee by Arab leaders (not Jews) so the Arabs could “defeat the Jews.” He refused, and all the Arab residents who stayed were given citizenship. Those who fled, a large number by choice, were not permitted to return, as often happens in war. That is a catastrophe, a “nakba” of their own making. But there was no choice in the Holocaust, there was no citizenship for those who stayed. You are intentionally comparing a war and a genocide. They are not the same.

Anybody entering a hospital in Canada with a condition qualifying as "grievous and irremediable" will, as a matter of policy, be offered MAID. For some disabled people, this means that every single interaction with the medical system may require them to state (sometimes multiple times) that they don't want hospital staff to kill them. The gas station worker who saved more than a dozen.

On October 7, 23-year-old Bedouin Muslim Masad Armilat was working at a gas station near Sderot when the Hamas attack began.

Instead of hiding, Masad ran outside.

He gathered terrified people fleeing the massacre, including wounded Israelis and Nova survivors, and rushed them into the station’s safe room. More than a dozen people crowded inside.

Masad locked the safe room to protect them, locked the store, and placed gas cylinders near the entrance. He then went outside to warn drivers away from the area, where terrorists were shooting at people.

At one point, a terrorist fired at Masad from close range but missed.

Later, eight Hamas terrorists arrived in a pickup truck and tried to break into the store. They eventually gave up and left.

Everyone hiding inside survived.

For his bravery, Masad received the Israel Police’s “Exemplary Citizen” award.

A 23-year-old Muslim Israeli risked his life to save complete strangers.

A THANK YOU MESSAGE TO MY MOM!

Since I converted from #Islam to #Christianity, I have had peace only with my mom. My relatives have rejected me and even harmed me just because I converted from Islam to Christianity. But my mom has always stood by me and helped me escape from danger.

If it weren’t for my mom, I don’t know what might have happened to me.

When my dad locked me up for three days without any food, my mom secretly brought me water. My father is the leader of the Fulanis in our local government area.

When he went to a meeting, my mom took the opportunity to break the lock, help me escape, and give me 1,000 Naira for transportation. My dad had taken everything from me after I converted to Christianity.

My mom knew that my punishment was death because of my faith. That’s why she tried her best to see that I escaped from my father’s house.

When my dad returned and found out what my mom did, he beat her severely, to the extent that neighbours had to come and help her. He refused to feed her or let her into the house until she found me.

It has been very difficult for her. My dad even told her he would kill her if she didn’t find me. Because of the constant beatings, she had to run away for her safety too.

After she left, she searched for me and eventually found me. I then took her to the hospital because of the beating she received from my dad.

We continued living in a small room with my wife and daughter. Once she recovered, I tried to find her a better place. Thanks to God and the support of fellow believers, I was able to get her an apartment where she is now staying.

My dad has never asked about her since then. She always encourages me to stay committed to my faith. That’s why I have great respect for women because their love and care remain, no matter what their children are going through.

Please remember us in your daily prayers. I am still praying to bring her to know Christ.
