@GreenoneOld@RMBee My guess: The Jem’Hadar on DS9 were based off a naturally born species in the Gamma Quadrant. We know this much about the Vorta. We just never got a chance to see what both species were like in their natural form.
@lolcow__ @DennisTambo@BuumiAdoawoakam@dylanali_ It’s all about placating to men’s insecurity. It’s why many religions value a woman’s virginity, as it gives men this assurance that their significant others can never compare them to other men in matters of sex. Of course they won’t admit that, so they label it as “God’s will”.
@nickvog @THX1138_exe@AlienAnthology@Cakes_Comics Right. Though earlier Sony DVD/VCR combo models had VHS only output through composite, that wasn’t the case with their later models like this one. I should note it only upscales up to 1080i, for what that’s worth.
@schlocketeer Worse for me is lack of nuance. Was Michael and Barbara’s run perfect? No, but neither was Cubby and Harry’s, but I often see remarks like “Cubby would have never [insert]” as if he was faultless. I’m pretty certain there were fans in the 80s that were critical of Cubby’s run too
@dr_mafoony@TheWizardOfIce@007 Plenty of Dalton fans who would have loved to see their Bond get four like Brosnan did. If anyone should feel their Bond was underserved, it’s Dalton fans.
@TheWizardOfIce@007 Binary thinking? Lack of nuance? Still griping about Brosnan’s dismissal? The utter disdain for how quickly and easily Craig was embraced by movie goers and fans after apparent Second Coming of Bond that is Brosnan?
@TheSpyCommand I remember a film spoof that would have the president in the Oval Office with the window behind him showing a view of the Washington Monument. Every time the shot would cut away and then back, the window behind him would suddenly have the Eiffel Tower or an Egyptian pyramid.
@ryantriddle I’ve noticed for awhile fans treating this as a proper pilot, when it’s always been a rejected pilot. Now it’s gotten to the point that Paramount recently had it listed as the first episode, when it used to be “The Man Trap”.
@tomsmason91 It’s interesting to see film editing trends across the Bond films. The first three films have what was industry standard scene transitional dissolves used throughout the former half of the 20th century. TB experiments with wipes. Then by YOLT it’s all hard cutting between scenes.
