I am so tired of applying for jobs and I am so tired of not getting jobs and I am so tired of all the jobs paying barely enough to live on and I am so tired of worrying about money and I am so tired of assholes destroying everything that makes life bearable
We should make a push for mass cancellation of Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, Paramount, HBO Max, Amazon Prime and Apple.
They have all increased their prices as people are struggling to pay rent, groceries and gas.
Guarantee you they'll respond to a massive boycott. All they care about is $$$
A month ago I got my son super excited to get soft serve from McDonald’s. I hadn’t been in ages. We rode the bike over on a hot day, walk in and see a deserted restaurant. I walk up to the counter and see nobody. Confused I say “hello” out loud. The two men come up clearly bothered i interrupted their conversation asking what I wanted.
I asked if I could order from them. The one guy points to the screen behind me. I turn around and start going through the menu. I look for ice cream. I try clicking on it, it won’t work.
I once again flag the guy down and he simply says “ice cream machine is broken.” I then ask how long it’ll be (assuming it’s short term). He responds, “it’s been broken a long time.” At this point my 4 yr old is begging me for the ice cream.
It was in that moment I got super sad. I grew up going to McDonald’s. As a kid of the 90s it was our Saturday hangout. It was the place we got ice cream after t-ball games. It was the place we stopped in on early morning road trips for egg McMuffins.
Was it the best food? To a 8 yr old whose taste buds were still forming, hell yes.
My son is almost 5 and been to McDonald’s maybe twice in his life. He will never have the nostalgia for that brand simply because McDonald’s failed to realize what they had when they had it and stripped it all down.
It’s too pricey, sterile, and at this point full of disappointment. This tweet below says it so well.
@McDonalds you need to stop listening to shareholders and start listening to parents.
Shut every AI chatbot down. Shut all of it down. Shove whatever AI is supposed to be curing cancer in a fucking corner to do that and leave everything else alone, we don't need it. Get used to normal Googling again, it's not hard. None of it is worth this.
.@billburr says AI should replace CEOs, not their hard working employees:
“Why don’t they make an AI CEO? They’re making way more [than] all the workers. You’re going to save way more money replacing one guy. Why don’t you do that? Because it’s not for us. It’s for them.”
🚨 BREAKING: An image of Republican Candidate Ashley Hinson is circulating with Hitler in the background at a Republican gathering.
Iowa Republicans have failed to explain why they were playing Hitler speeches at their meeting.
It’s just morally and reprehensibly wrong that this half-dead, morbidly lethargic, sorrowful excuse for a human being blocked or voted AGAINST paid medical leave 23 times. He returned to “work” yesterday after being on paid medical leave for 3 fucking months.
Healthy people love to say chronic pain patients are “too focused on their symptoms.”
Of course we are.
You get a toothache and it ruins your afternoon.
We get pain that can alter where we sit, how long we stand, whether we sleep, whether we drive, whether we eat, whether we shower, whether we make plans, whether we cancel them, and whether we can think clearly enough to get through the day.
Then somehow the person living with it is accused of being “obsessed.”
No.
Pain is intrusive.
There’s a difference.
If your smoke alarm screamed in your ear twelve hours a day, nobody would accuse you of being overly focused on the noise.
They’d understand why it had your attention.
Chronic pain deserves the same understanding.
If you’re furious about Mamdani attending a 9/11 memorial but perfectly fine with Trump lying about being rescued from the rubble at Ground Zero. Congratulations, you’re in a cult.
