Potemkin Party political pygmies - and segments of its senior military brass - seem to have chosen to indulge in, and ramp-up, their reckless saber-rattling and war agenda in these early days of 2026.
The toxic propaganda pendulum oscillates from provocative gimmicks of incorporating - especially in media outlets & platforms aimed at their domestic audience - Eritrea's sovereign coastal lands in photoshopped Ethiopian maps in flagrant breach of international law, to playing "victimhood" by couching and legitimizing their illicit quest for sovereign access to the sea "in self-defense" terms when addressing their external audiences.
But, reckless and deplorable as these gimmicks remain, they are in many respects innate, or second nature, for the Potemkin Party whose modus operandi and hallmarks are: Optics + Posturing + Deception + Disinformation.

Excellent Read - #Eritrea: Peaceful Gate of the Horn of Africa
*"...Peace in Eritrea is not accidental. It is a strategic choice shaped by the countryâs long liberation struggle and the heavy cost of war. While instability has consumed much of the Horn of Africa, Eritrea has maintained internal cohesion and stability, rejecting proxy conflicts and foreign-driven agendas. This stability has created something increasingly valuable in todayâs world: predictability".
*"...Eritrea does not seek to impose itself as a gatekeeper. Geography has already placed it at the entrance of the Horn of Africa. What Eritrea offers instead is responsible access anchored in peace, reinforced by self-reliance, and safeguarded by principled diplomacy".
*"...In an era when instability carries global consequences, Eritreaâs long-standing approach is no longer unconventional. It is necessary. And it is precisely this combination of peace, independence, and diplomacy that makes Eritrea the natural and credible gate of the Horn of Africa".

Gold for #Eritrea
Alexander Tesfay, the 17-year-old Eritrean distance runner, absolutely owned the boys' 3000m at the 4th African Youth Games in Bengo, Angola yesterday (December 13, 2025). His tactical masteryâholding a steady, controlled pace through most of the race before unleashing a devastating kick on the final lapâleft the field behind and showcased the kind of composure and finishing speed that marks true elite potential.
