@hunterallen@PlayOverwatch@Flats_OW As you stated the idea is to eventually replace artists altogether with prompters. And a lot of the audience is against it, which is why you’d like it to be imperceptible. If we keep prioritising *only* investors, game and art spaces will become nothing but (more) capital grabs.
I support new media art as a form of art and admit that creating AI models can fit in that (ethics is a different discussion) but interacting with their art doesn’t make *you* the artist.
For #AI “artists”, the person who coded the AI is making digital interactive media, people who use it are the *audience* not the artist.
I think people are just severely overestimating themselves over doing the absolute minimum and comparing themselves to real artists.

@pcgamer How are people getting so angry? Just because lots of people have fun in a game doesn’t make it objectively amazing, and *that’s totally ok*. It’s got some goods, it’s got some bads and it’s nice people are so into it but some comments really just prove the title’s point.
@Acex1335 @Solo11631282 @LucilaFit@Pontifex Knowing is Eve’s original sin after all. Assumed pride and importance from “knowing”… and to then say the Pope is damned. Have some self awareness
@VisualFidelity Honestly I was not a huge turn based fan so was reluctant to play BG3, but am SO happy I did, I would give it game of the decade.
Likewise my partner is not a fan of most long form games, a lot of turn based combat, romance in games or really *plots* but he too 100% agrees.
@femtowya @JPhrygian@ascinhiding There’s no AI, it’s all human motion captured and voice acted, 248 actors to be precise, even the most minor characters, even all animals have thoughts you can read that change depending on who you are and what you’ve done
The personalisation of everything was spectacular
