I don’t care if you were mentally unstable, medicated, postpartum, suicidal, depressed, psychotic, drunk, high, angry, sad, confused, detached, vengeful, or in the darkest crisis of your life.
When you put an exercise band around one child’s neck until that child is dead, then do it to another, and then another, I’m done hearing excuses.
Then you jump out of a second-story window trying to end your own life and somehow the conversation becomes about your suffering?
No.
Three children are dead. They don’t get another chance. They don’t get treatment. They don’t get sympathy, recovery, rehabilitation, or another morning with their family.
You can explain mental illness to me. You can explain postpartum psychosis. You can explain medication, depression, suicidal thoughts and diminished responsibility. I understand that those things are real.
I still do not give a fuck.
There are lines that, once crossed, I personally do not believe you get to come back from. Killing your three children is one of them. You should never see daylight outside of an institution again.
And watching people turn the person who killed them into some kind of sympathetic figure is fucking disgusting to me.
Those poor fucking kids.
That’s where my sympathy is.
That’s where my empathy is.
ALL OF IT.
The broadcast on NFL Network just now for the Cowboys/Seahawks game:
“We know that if both the receiver and the defender have hands on the ball, the tie goes to the offense”
Oh really?
The way the Yankees mishandled Anthony Volpe will be used as a textbook example of how to NOT treat a prospect for years to come.
Tell him from the jump the job is his no matter what. Brand him as the future of your franchise even though he hasn't earned it yet. Refuse to try him at new positions when he struggles. Run him into the ground to prove a point even when he's clearly gassed.
Three years later, he's back down in the minors stuck with no future direction as they try out their new shiny toy. Complete and utter disappointment all the way around- and frankly, not really his own fault.
The fact that you can’t check into a hotel until 4pm when the day is basically over but have to check out by 10am the next morning should honestly be illegal.
