Another proud moment for #Iran.
With 5 gold medals at the 2025 International Olympiad in #India, 🇮🇷 the #Astronomy & #Astrophysics team has secured the #WorldChampion title for the 2nd year in a row.
Kudos to our brilliant stars for bringing glory to Iran once again. 🇮🇷
@TLevingstone@Ali_Zamani1988 Congratulations Ali. Your perseverance and dedication are truly inspiring👏. Wishing you great success in your next chapter 🎊🎊.
Magnesium implants hold great promise for orthopaedics, but fast corrosion limits their potential. Researchers of @DCU's Faculty of Engineering and Computing, and School of Chemical Sciences dive into ways of tackling this.

Exciting news! Our review on biofunctionalisation of porous additively manufactured Mg-based alloys for orthopaedic applications is now published in @BiomaterialsAdv .
Thanks to @njdunne_lab, @TLevingstone & @Prof_H_McCarthy for their continued support.
I am grateful to have received the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 from the @I_Form_Centre at the annual I-Form gathering. A great opportunity to present my research on Bioactive Composite Coatings for Enhanced Corrosion Resistance and Biofunctionality of Mg Orthopaedic Implants
Congratulations to @TinaaHashemi on receiving an award for her poster titled "Strategically Designed Bioactive Composite Coatings for Enhanced Corrosion Resistance and Biofunctionality of Magnesium Orthopaedic Implants" at the @I_Form_Centre Gathering 2024.
Our most recent publication led by @TinaaHashemi titled "Strategically designed bioactive dual-layer coating of octacalcium phosphate and dicalcium phosphate dihydrate for enhancement of the corrosion resistance of pure magnesium for orthopaedic applications" is online now.
Excellent talk by @TinaaHashemi at the @wbc2024 session title: “Programming dynamic materials for engineering functional tissues”, where she presented her latest data from her @I_Form_Centre and @MetallicsCDT project focusing on improving the corrosion resistance of Mg implants.
Had the great opportunity to attend the science in media course at Imperial College of London @imperialcollege organized by @MetallicsCDT and @I_Form_Centre.
Excitingly followed by creating a short podcast at the BBC in London!
@EngineerIreland @StapolinETNS @MetallicsCDT@I_Form_Centre You're welcome! It's a pleasure to support and inspire the next generation of engineers through initiatives like the STEPS Young Engineers Award.
Had an amazing time at @StapolinETNS sharing my journey in biomedical engineering with students! It was fantastic discussing Engineering and igniting their passion for it. Big thanks to @EngineerIreland for this wonderful opportunity! @MetallicsCDT@I_Form_Centre#publicengagement
