Interesting take from you my brother @mawarirej . But can you explain why other descentants of Abraham like Ishmael, Isaac, Easau, Jacob, etc we dont read where they also continued with paying tithe ?
Tell me, where does the Old Testament start? A Testament starts with the death of the testator, isnt it?
Abraham, the Father of our faith, paid tithes to Melchizedek, in Genesis 14 : 17-20, before the start of the Old Testament in Exodus 24:8.
Abraham paid tithes, way before the Mosaic laws, particularly those in Leviticus 1-27 which dealt with sacrifice, priesthood etc.
Jesus, in John 8:56 clearly tells us that Abraham lived in the New Testament.
He says, "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad."
Abraham paid tithes, not in the OT, but in the dispensation after seeing the day of the Lord.
The OT doesn't start with the book of Genesis, it starts when Moses dips his hyssop in the blood of the lamb and announced the covenant between God and the Israelites in Exodus 24:8. This is way after Abraham had paid tithes to Melchizedek in Genesis 14.
The OT starts when Moses says, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.” (Exodus 24:8).
When you want a proper conversation about tithing, and especially when you purport that it was an OT practice, you need to be sure when the OT starts and ends.
Jesus himself lived in the OT. The New Testament starts with his death in Mathew 28.
So if you don't tithes because you think its an OT practice, you dont follow every work and word that Jesus taught because Jesus operated in the Old testament?
All the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, all the chapters before the death of Jesus, are Old Testament for no testament exists until the death of the testament.
The bible says, for where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
"For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives." (Hebrews 9: 16-17).
When you want proper bible discussions, be open to new knowledge. Some of us do read the scriptures closely and we have been taught well by our pastor.
@WNyangoni05@bla_bidza Europen Teams will not boycot bcoz they r not affected by the visa issue, Asian Countries will not boycott, Some southern american countries will not boycott, and those few that may boycott may be those termed shithole countries which USA doesnt even bother abt. USA gets its way
@mawarirej Mr Mawarire, the way u paint your country all gloomy bcoz of your right to dislike the President or Leaders is coming back to hound you. No one will respect u if u bash your country more times, thus other nationalities disrespect and despise you thinking you come from a bad place
@freemanchari Nees had his strengths which were still not sufficient to win games. But be fair to Marinaka, he has only played 2 competitive matches and lost one , drawn one. Can you judge him after 15 matches like Nees. He may end up with a better win record than Nees who only got two wins.

@PriscaMutema2@Mavhure@mimmitwit@realDonaldTrump@edmnangagwa On the Tarriffs move, may you kindly enlighten me and others how Zim stands to benefit if they were to engage in a tarriff escalation with USA. Wasnt the move to remove tarrifs by Zim a pre-emptive move, wont it make Zim exports to America cheaper? I wld love to hear your take
@freemanchari There is a subtle inferiority complex that oozes out of your tweets man. Anyway there is this label called for us by us FUBU, thats what l am being reminded by these warriors outfits and jerseys
@jahman_adamski@mavusane02 🤣 gud for a monday mng laugh. Make it funnier and tell us all, if u had 50 million worth of watches, you say you wld not tweet amongst Zimbabweans, so who wld you tweet amongst 😅
@Mavhure@restmutore@online_zifa There are 2 sides to the story. ZIFA is being professional by taking the advice of the club that their player is injured. However if the Warriors play well without their supposed most valuable player, then the importance of Munetsi diminishes.Chirewa has bn released by same club!
@begottensun@TonderaiMa96548@ShingiMunyeza May l take this opportunity to seek your enlightenment regarding the financial wealth and assets accumulated by Pension fund administrators and managers like Old Mutual Zim against this poor welfare of pensioners. How can the imbalance be explained?

@drDendere But how do you smuggle Chamisa in this? This is a serious international memorial of a very important figure. People like @nelsonchamisa are naturally not recognised to be invited to such gatherings because they are not national leaders, but ordinary political players in Zim.
@waltermzembi By your logic, the drama that went on at Mugabe's funeral , that of refusing to be buried at the Heroes Acre were he buries many of his party also reflected his character then?
