Another view of the same incident, in which undercover police disguised as protestors drag a demonstrator by the legs, as other officers pepper spray a crowd of journalists. Plainclothes HK police officers regularly arrest protestors but rarely with this brutality. Vid: Telegram.
.@appledaily_hk reports that the girl in the vid is a 12-year-old on her way with her brother to buy some pastel crayons, she and her brother both suffered bruises and were ticketed for violating social distancing rules: https://t.co/FOqBQwLfio
Guess the young girl is just terrified of the #HongKongpolice (and rightfully so) so she attempted to run away. Maybe not the smartest decision but using excessive force to tackle the girl is absolutely uncalled for.
[On now-cancelled Election Day, I was tailed by unknown agents for 1.5 hours]
1. On the day supposed to be our election day, I was tailed by 4 unknown cars AGAIN for 1.5 hours+. At least one five-seater, one seven-seater Honda & one motorbike kept following me from east to west.
A photographer for local online news outlet TMHK was arrested by the police when covering the protest in Mong Kok, reason unknown. The photographer has a press card issued by the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association. https://t.co/KUO91dZypR
Footage widely shared on social media shows how a young man's back was grazed after undercover police appeared to drag him across the road to a pavement on Shantung St, Mong Kok. https://t.co/ilZqFckSOE #hongkong
A young girl of school age was just cornered by riot police & proceeded to run away, before being viciously wrestled to the ground, kicked & pinned down by several police officers.
I wish I could say this isn’t normal in Hong Kong today, but it is.

#HongKongers are incredible
Despite draconian National Security Law, they are marching on the day they should have been voting in the Legislative Council elections, in protest at the outrageous postponement of those elections for a year
#HongKong I ♥️you!

Police have cordoned off several areas in and around Soi Yeung Choi x Soy Street, MK. Press being ID’d and released. Lots of people still out on the streets, feels like a long night. I’d guess this has attracted the largest number of protesters on the streets since July
1530: riot police stopped and searched everyone including pedestrians at the exit of Man Ming Lane at Yau Mei Tei MTR.
Police hoisted a blue flag as a warning. Photos captures the young and old, encircled by the police on a Sunday originally set to vote for Legislative Council.
HKFP_Live: Police have deployed in force around Kowloon after denying permission for a protest on what would have been the now-delayed legislative election day.
