Imagine making posts across 3 social media platforms confirming that you never recanted; but still having desperate fans create fake screenshots to try to say otherwise. Then those fans have the audacity to ask why you keep bRiNgInG iT uP when you defend yourself from their lies.
@iwas_dazzling Then why are you bringing it up (as a tool for silencing me or just distracting from the topic at hand?) when I never mentioned, defended, nor denied any past racism; and was purely talking about sexual assault survivor's right to speak about their trauma whenever they choose?
@silkspunlbbh And just because someone is a survivor does NOT mean that they are educated on the multitude of differing psychological effects caused by trauma/sexual assault.
@silkspunlbbh Survivors can still be just as guilty of spreading rape-culture rhetoric and victim-shaming/blaming other survivors (as clearly shown by a very large portion of the fanbase).
@silkspunlbbh Victim possibly being triggered by seeing unavoidable PR/advertisements of their rapist around the time of new releases? Yeah, definitely sounds sOoOo sketchy and obsessive. I'd LOVE to see my abuser's face in unskippable ads, wouldn't you?
@silkspunlbbh Yet if she's always making announcements, if she's always working on new projects- then ANY time that Timothy talks about it, it will coincide with some "NeW pRoJeCt" so it will always be the "WrOnG tImE" to talk about it.
@Nightrogyn I know right, like "I mean yeah we'll imply that sexual assault victims that have BPD can be completely disregarded as liars, we're sOoOo not ableist tho. Love & light! #MentalHealthMatters" ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
I just love how people are really like "hey! This girl that claims to have experienced trauma is obviously lying because she *insert super common, scientifically proven trauma-related symptom here*"
@silkspunlbbh They're expected to only speak out when their assaulter completely halts their career, releases, & performances? If their assaulter is consistently planning/releasing new content, then they're just never allowed to speak on it because the time period will always coincide
@silkspunlbbh So now sexual assault survivors are responsible for checking up on the details of their assaulters career/schedule before openly speaking about their own traumas whenever they choose?
@georgiaaaaaxox What you're saying is that people (including other survivors) should simply shut up & "get over" blatant victim-shaming/rape-culture rhetoric being spread bc you personally don't like the person experiencing it, so you don't care how that toxic rhetoric effects other survivors.
I'm so happy I could cry bc I'm just now seeing the TikTok videos where people are finally addressing the blatant victim-shaming & daily harassment Timothy has faced; and people were using the card I made to educate others ๐ฅบ
@georgiaaaaaxox I think you're a bit confused on what the word "fact" means. Just bc you call something a fact doesn't make it one, and there is no solid evidence that Timothy was lying. In fact, most of the reasons people call her a liar are FACTUALLY PROVEN REACTIONS TO TRAUMA.
I feel so bad for the people that speak out about the victim-shaming as well because I know many are survivors themselves, and I know how triggering a toxic fanbase's mass harassment/shaming can be. But I am so thankful that people are standing strong when speaking out.
@georgiaparkerxo @timsdaydream Sexual assault survivors commonly switch between both hypo-sexuality and hyper-sexuality. Please do research before shaming common trauma responses.
I got tired of everyone commenting that "MelanieMartinezIsInnocent" carrd thing in regards to Timothy; so I made a corrected version but idk if it's spicy enough https://t.co/IPMDdpBF7j
