Community Group impacted by Lancashire County Councils waste management & the operations at Whinney Hill Landfill, Hyndburn by SUEZ recycling and recovery UK
@suezUK@EnvAgency 0 control of gulls feeding from Whinney Hill Landfill - 08:38 today. The Cull achieved nothing, Bird & pest control measures nothing, contractors Birds of prey, nothing. So we suffer. @sarahsmithlab@NaturalEngland https://t.co/UMUZ3917Fo
Take any day from 24 months and watch as uncontrolled Gulls feed from @suezUK Whinney Hill Landfill & shit on our community. Despite an Avian Flu lockdown @LancashireCC the @EnvAgency do nothing to suspend tipping. Profits more important @sarahsmithlab

@LancashireCC@LancsLibraries Wonderful place - Come and see the pretty birds and rats, the poorly covered household waste, gulls and other vermin feed on daily, green capped sections and waste vehicles on Whinney Hill Landfill, towering above lovely hyndburn, LANCASHIRE!
@sarahsmithlab@EnvAgency#joke
@suezUK We love your contribution to our community here in Hyndburn, Accrington. Every day for years we've loved the mayhem your site at Whinney Hill has delivered to our residential homes & businesses, Playgrounds, schools etc. The gift of shite for profit. Ta!
@reformexposed@Kent_cc@reformparty_uk The great pothole repair party have been banging on up here in Lancashire about how great they are at getting them fixed. Most I've seen to date look like someone shat chocolate angel delight into a hole.
Gull numbers increase @suezUK Whinney Hill landfill in Accrington impacting the community. @NaturalEngland authorise a minimal & futile cull. Closing this landfill for good will work, taking away the food source & no gulls harmed.

11:50 today.
I don't need a degree in environmental or waste management to see accessible household waste is the issue here. Profits before people at Whinney Hill Landfill, Accrington.

Tuesday 09:20 above my house albeit arrived from 07:00. @suezUK provide them with daily meals from landfill site, Whinney Hill, Altham. @LancashireCC and @EnvAgencyNW say they comply with bird & vermin pest controls 🤣 @sarahsmithlab@GranadaReports

Monday, and just another day suffering from the many gulls that are here because of the landfill operations at Whinney Hill, Accrington. A site operated by @suezUK aided and abetted by @LancashireCC and the @EnvAgencyNW

@sarahsmithlab@GranadaReports
@AdamRead74 @Recoup_UK@suezUK Hope none of that posh nosh ends up in your site at Whinney Hill, Altham. We have had enough in our gardens and community this past 14 months from your landfill. Here's some examples of the last couple of weeks worth. @sarahsmithlab@LancashireCC@EnvAgencyNW@HyndburnCouncil
How bad do these gulls have to get for the @EnvAgencyNW to act. Despite a licence permit and bird management plan which requires @suez to act if birds affect the community, apparently firing a few gas cannons is compliant. JOKE!

@EveningExpress Gulls breed where they are present so this will only get worse as eggs hatch around July/August.
Our community has suffered significantly having started in 2023. This was above my house last week in landlocked Accrington.

@pressjournal He wants to come to landlocked Accrington to see the impact these delightful creatures are having on our community. A daily problem since 2023. All because of accessible household food waste at Whinney Hill landfill Here they are above my home
https://t.co/E6nUgTtYyr
@robrieguez@MaryLouMcDonald We have the same problem created by household waste at a local landfill site in landlocked Accrington.
The view from my window most days since October 2023.

@SteveReedMP I can't abide Reform in any shape or form, but I'd be careful throwing stones because to date you and your government have done absolutely NOTHING to protect people like our community and others from the impacts of landfill sites like Whinney Hill in Hyndburn.
