What struck me in the Siya Goel - Ketan Aggarwal case is that how much of their lives were online. Their courting photos and videos are easily available. Their private lives were online. Now, if your private life is so public, you are bound to have a secret life.
Shakespeare said, “All the world’s a stage and all the men and women are merely players…” It seems we have taken the quote too seriously. Never in the history of humankind have we been more performative. Our lives are online for everybody to see and comment and judge.
Why did Siya choose murder over dialogue will be something debated by everybody over the coming days. The answer is in the fact that if you choose to say everything from a platform and through a megaphone then you are constantly speaking to be validated by a crowd which is merely voyeuristic. They have no sympathy for you. And that is why you lose the appetite for any kind of intimate, private, one to one conversation and meaningful dialogue.
You lose touch with reality and worse you lose touch with your own self. Instagram, true to its name, has converted you into an addict of instant gratification. You want results without going through the process. Killing the process is the first murder.
Not everybody becomes a murderer. True as it might be, it is not worth losing your self or part of your self too. People who constantly moralise or virtue signal on social media are in the same dangerous zone. We are all in a very dangerous zone.
South Korea globalized kimchi. Japan globalized matcha.
UP just did the same thing with a sattu laddoo from Ballia and economists have a specific word for it.
Glocalization. When something local grows globally without ever losing its roots.
700 women are now running production and packaging for this thing.
One district, one product, one genuinely interesting outcome 👏
Being too nice to your girlfriend/wife bores her. Why? Because, simply put, niceness, for women, is a monotonous experience. And routine is boring - or, more safely put, less stimulating.
Women may be delusional, but “if he won’t do it, another man will” is not a delusion; it’s a fact they can back up with their experience of the society. Women enjoy benevolence from everyone and everything capable of such - the men, the society, the system - except nature, apparently.
So women know what they’re saying when they say, “if he won’t do it, another man will.” Because, truly, a man will.
Offer a woman a kind gesture at 4 p.m. on a Monday, and you’re probably the fifth person, and most and most certainly the fourth man, doing something of that nature for her that day. Do the same for a man at the same time, same day, and you’re probably the first and only man to have done something of that nature for him that day - and possibly in the previous days.
The man appreciates the gesture more, not only because he understands what it takes to expend such effort, but also because of its rarity in his experience. The woman, on the other hand, may appreciate it but will never give it the same level of significance as the man. She gets it every day from almost anyone. Anyway.
Your niceness will not sustain the attraction
One of the most brutal realities of the male experience that nobody talks about is the absolute "affection desert" they live in. A woman can get a hug, a genuine compliment, and deep emotional support from her platonic friends on a random Tuesday. A man can go an entire calendar year without another human being touching his arm, asking if he's okay, or giving him a sincere compliment. We’ve built a society where a man only gets to experience basic human warmth if he is actively providing for a partner. Outside of that, he is completely invisible.

Just saw another clip from Pranit More's show and it's disgusting 🙏
He asks a dentist "Does it ever happen to you that a patient comes in and she has some residue of male sperm in her teeth?"
The dentist went numb like she couldn't believe what he had just asked.
Then he asked "If an aunty comes to you and there is some residue on her face, what do you say to her? Aunty, have you given somebody a BJ or is this a cavity?"
The dentist looked genuinely uncomfortable. He kept asking "Is there any problem with swallowing?"
The dentist said "No" and then he replied "then why don't girls swallow?"
The poor girl felt creepy and said "I don't know"
If Himanshu and Sejal get punished, then why doesn't he? He should be banned from doing stand up comedy. His every show just revolves around porn, sex and dirty jokes. 🤡
