Before you start judging wealthy people.
And start thinking life is unfair.
WE ALL HAVE 24 HOURS EVERY DAY.
You play Fortnite.
Somebody is working on their future.
It’s your choice. It’s your life
I'm sensing a pattern among my friends...
Me: I'm gonna retire in 5 years by saving most of my money and investing in index funds!
Friend: Cool!
[Today]
Me: Come to my retirement party in the fall!
Friend: Wait you're actually retiring early?! HOW?!?
Me: 😒...

@JourneyMillion Hot take: from a numbers perspective, yes it was a mistake. Investing in yourself and career is the best thing you can do for growing wealth, unless you already have a couple hundred grand invested. From a personal happiness perspective, only you can decide that.
@Fixing_Credit4U Absolutely, it took me less than an hour at my local fidelity branch to set up my SE401(k) and the employees at the brokerage were very helpful. In all honestly I’d rather use vanguard, but fidelity was easier because my existing retirement accounts are there.
Here’s my tip: invest first in the places you get the most out of each dollar. If your company has a 401k marching program, then each dollar is worth 2 tax free dollars! If you invested that dollar in a brokerage, after tax it’ll only be $.70-.80
Time for a shout-out with some tips!!

Tip: Pay credit card 15 days before the due date and than 3 days before the due date and keep your credit card utilization rate under 10% for the best results
@MindingMy30s Free money and you don’t even have to pay taxes on it! The first time I received an employer match back when I was a W2 I thought it was a mistake or some kind of trick 😂
@Fixing_Credit4U I am self-employed so I think I can speak well to this one. Although you don’t get an employer match, you can start your own 401k/IRA and get tax sheltering benefits on a much larger amount of money! Normal 401ks top out at $19,500, but a SE401(k) or SEP IRA let you put away
@MoneysTheGamec1 It’s crazy, they’re giving you money for free and STILL some people don’t take advantage! Like atleast put up to the employer contribution limit 😩
