Barbara Walters didn't hold back during this 1980s Eddie Murphy interview!
Barbara Walters: I hear you have a great Yiddish accent, and that you can do Yiddish humor. How did you learn that?
Eddie Murphy: From working out in the comedy clubs on Long Island... I used to be in a comedy team with a group called The Identical Triplets.
Barbara Walters: One was Black, two were white?
Eddie Murphy: Yeah, that was it. Get it? Ha ha! The Identical Triplets!
Barbara Walters: I got it. So you thought I was just a dumb bitch sitting here asking you dumb questions, huh?
Eddie Murphy: That was the joke! I mean, the whole routine was that one of us is Black and two of us are white. And we used to do these routines, and we'd talk like Jewish guys... "So I'll see you later, okay? You're gonna call me?... What time? About 6:00. Don't forget to call! All right, I'm gonna call you."
Barbara Walters: That's funny, you don't look Jewish.
