@velcrotea Went mostly deaf in one ear a few years back.
Heard this noise non-stop at varying "volumes" (really just my brain trying to process dead air) for 16 months. I've read & heard some when they lose hearing it's even worse, they never stop hearing it. Now? I only hear it sometimes.
I wonder, how many times can and does a person actually and meaningfully change throughout life?
Looking back certainly most of us could point to this decision or that. A moment that changes who one really is or one's way of thinking.
But how many times does the average person experience this? Are we simply to content to be who we presently are? Maybe it's simply a matter of how seriously or whimsically one takes life?
If you would improve yourself, learn to be comfortable in your own thoughts. There's no greater sign of a healthy mind then to be comfortable in total silence.
