@KevenJacobbris@guyfelicella Not according to their governments. They are free market economies with socialist programs and the heavy tax burden that goes with it.
@Thomas23353301@guyfelicella If Norway was an actual socialist country, you might have a point. Also it is neat that you are using a small homogenous white European country with abundant oil wealth as your example. Racist much?
@chm985@ChadHepbur54562@davidpugliese No, Canada first decided in 2010 to purchase the F35. 16 years ago.

Then the liberals decided to play politics and now we are here.
Forty years ago. From the CF 105 Arrow on our procurement process has royally sucked. Even for the CF-18 we never bought or upgraded proper components. The used British subs should never have been bought, and they should have been replaced a decade ago. The entire system is corrupted by politics and government friends looking to wet their beaks. The decision to buy the F35 is what? Ten years ago? We should have a complete operational fleet by now, not waiting on some.
@chm985@ChadHepbur54562@davidpugliese Canada has a well deserved reputation of dithering and politicizing its defence procurement. Sea King replacement, O boat replacement, C130 replacement, etc etc etc.
