🚨 3.8 MILLION GALLONS OF WATER LOST. A STOP-WORK ORDER IGNORED. NOW AN OKLAHOMA BITCOIN MINE IS LINKED TO A MUCH BIGGER STORY.

What began as a massive water leak in El Reno has turned into an investigation involving questionable oversight, a tangled network of companies, international business connections and potential national security concerns.

According to an investigation by KFOR News 4, the Bitcoin mining operation responsible for a water leak that disrupted thousands of El Reno residents is connected through business relationships to a second, larger operation in Oklahoma City.

And the deeper reporters dug, the more questions emerged.

🔴 THE CITY ORDERED WORK TO STOP IN 2023.

In June 2023, El Reno issued a stop-work order against the Bitcoin mining facility because of construction, electrical and fire-safety violations.

Yet the operation reportedly continued without obtaining the necessary approvals.

In August 2026, a private fire hydrant line at the property leaked approximately 3.8 million gallons of water.

Schools closed, residents experienced water disruptions, and city officials were left explaining why an operation previously cited for violations had apparently continued for years.

El Reno Interim City Manager Ken Brown acknowledged the city’s failure to follow up on its enforcement order.

THREE YEARS. A STOP-WORK ORDER. AND NO EFFECTIVE FOLLOW-THROUGH.

🔴 FOLLOW THE COMPANIES.

KFOR’s investigation identified a network of businesses associated with the mining operation.

Athlon Blockchain Technology LLC owns the El Reno property.

Wuwa Technology LLC reportedly employed workers at the facility.

Business records examined by KFOR connect Tony Shi, also identified as Jiang Shi, to both companies.

A former employee described working conditions that included sparking electrical equipment, fire hazards and concerns about underground water tanks being installed for cooling.

These allegations raise additional questions about workplace safety and regulatory oversight.

🔴 THE TRAIL LEADS TO ANOTHER OKLAHOMA CITY FACILITY.

KFOR uncovered connections between the El Reno operation and a second, larger Bitcoin mining site in Oklahoma City.

The investigation describes corporate relationships spanning multiple states and countries, including connections to China.

A national security expert interviewed by KFOR raised concerns about the Oklahoma City facility’s proximity to a military installation.

That concern is not without precedent.

In 2024, President Joe Biden ordered a Chinese-owned cryptocurrency mining operation near a Wyoming Air Force base to divest its property, citing national security risks.

BUT THERE IS AN IMPORTANT DISTINCTION.

KFOR has not established that the Oklahoma operations are controlled by the Chinese government or involved in espionage.

International business connections alone do not establish wrongdoing.

🔴 THE BIGGER QUESTION IS ACCOUNTABILITY.

How does an industrial operation continue for years after a city issues a stop-work order?

Who is ultimately responsible when several companies are involved in ownership, employment and operations?

Were the facilities properly permitted and inspected?

And has the Oklahoma City operation received appropriate scrutiny concerning its location and ownership?

Bitcoin mining requires substantial electricity and cooling infrastructure. Those demands make proper construction, electrical and water-system oversight particularly important.

This investigation is not simply about cryptocurrency.

IT’S ABOUT WHETHER OKLAHOMA’S REGULATORY SYSTEM IS ACTUALLY ENFORCING THE RULES IT ALREADY HAS.

KFOR reports that a second installment of its investigation is scheduled to examine additional connections and national security questions.

The findings deserve attention, and the unanswered questions deserve documented answers.

Gavin Newsom is deliberately blocking diesel relief just to stick it to Trump and hurt working people

Trump signed Executive Order 14435 on October 5 to give truckers and farmers a break. It defers the federal 24.4¢ diesel tax and temporarily lets red-dyed diesel be used on highways through the end of the year so people can actually afford to keep goods moving.

California under Newsom is refusing to go along. The state is still banning dyed diesel on public roads and won’t suspend its own sky-high diesel taxes. Newsom’s people called the federal relief “more distraction and desperation.” Meanwhile California diesel is still sitting around $8.30–$8.40 a gallon while the rest of the country is closer to $6.20.

This is pure partisan sabotage. Democrats in Sacramento would rather keep prices punishing for truckers, farmers, and everyone who buys what they haul than let anyone get even temporary relief that came from Trump. Red diesel is the same fuel — they just won’t let people use it or drop the state tax on it.

Newsom and the California Democrats are choosing to keep the pain at the pump instead of matching the federal relief. That’s on them.
