@Asmongold That's literally the same take you've been making for the last 5 years+
So, it's basically the same moral satanic panic, ignoring all the data. Game violence = real violence, rap = gangs, etc...
We can agree to disagree here, because if that's the take, then I'm disappointed.
Asmongold makes a L take on the whole situation with Evie and Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, saying that it looks too young. Even as a fan of Asmongold, I disagree with his take, where he misidentifies a clearly adult asian woman as a child.
This isn't the first time he has said something that's "anti-adjacent", such as calling loli or youth content weird, or that he dislikes lalafels because he thinks it normalizes sexualizing children.
As I said before, when looking at a fully clothed character and thinking that it's "sexual" in nature is in itself weird. It's the common logical leap that many in the 'anti' community make, where the separation between fiction and reality isn't well developed.
He has had a pretty consistent take on anti-loli content overall, where young or even youthful characters draw his scrutiny. There is an ocean of difference between harmless stylized fiction, even if it's sexual in nature, versus actual, malicious intent involving real child victims.
If loli or any adjacent content was indeed a gateway towards sexually abusing minors and children, then countries like Japan, where it is the origin of that content, should be one of the most dangerous countries in the world for kids. Instead, it is one of the safest.
When looking at the data and real-world metrics, the 'gateway' hypothesis falls flat. Multiple studies that tried to find a link failed to find it. For example, a 2019 Prostasia concept note and a 2012 Danish report showed no link between anime content and real abuse. This means that in people of normal sensibilities, there is a clear distinction between fantasy and reality.
They said in the report to conclude, “It’s gratifying that we now have documentation that as far as we are aware there is no connection between animated child pornography and actual crimes, meaning there is no need to further criminalise this area,” ... “As long as it cannot be proven that these drawings encourage damaging behaviour then I think we ought to protect freedom of speech and artistic expression.”
On the counterpoint, the countries that ban this kind of fictional content observe no change in overall child SA rates. The data doesn't care about someone's discomfort, and finding something weird, and extrapolating a "take" doesn't make it a fact.
During Asmongold's stream talking about the new Stellar Blade 2 character, Evie, looking like a child... Asmongold starts banning critics of his take and then gives his opinion on people who like loli content. I'd be interested in organizing a debate between @asmongold and @ChibiReviews on the topic. That would be peak content. Here are some of Asmongold's quotes:
"Would you trust a loli enjoyer to babysit your 6 year old daughter?"
"Being into loli content has a correlation to being a pedophile..."
Based Asmongold? Or did he go too far?
ACTUAL CHILD BEING SEXUALIZED!
Game MADE for Epstein enjoyers!!
Evie is PEDO bait!
IF YOU BUY THIS GAME YOU ARE A PEDO!
The situation on Bluesky (an actual pedo haven) is insane right now, with countless people freaking out about Evie's design. The posters of these insane posts probably look like the typical Reddit-Bluesky coded leftists... unhealthy, obese, ugly, with they/them pronouns, and look like they are 50 years old while only being 20, body rotting from diabetes...
Time to call out some people.
@maximilian_@Asmongold@AngryJoeShow@CohhCarnage
No offense, but if she looks like a child to you, says a lot more about you with this take.
I expected this stupid take from Max and Joe, but you Asmon? I think that gay pride shirt has messed you up that day. You too Cohh. Maybe you should look up models, singers and korean baseball cheerleaders from South Korea.
If looking young is exclusive to children, you need to educate yourselves on Korean women or Asian women in general, unless you guys have some pedophile tendencies waking up from dormancy.
I've deleted a post where I was trying to figure out whether Shift Up had toned down its style a bit for the Stellar Blade sequel, particularly when it comes to the outfit designs compared to the original.
For now, I still prefer Eve, honestly. It simply resonates with me more. Nothing against tomboys. That said, the God Hand-inspired combat in the sequel looks very promising.
I'll wait until we see more before making a final judgment. Sorry
Blue Sky is doing the typical and calling Stellar Blade Blood Rain a Pedo Game
Always the same group of people doing this. Pattern Recognition is a bitch..
