There is a huge difference between Luka Modric and Kevin De Bruyne. Luka Modric went to Milan to play for his dream club, to sweat for the shirt, to be ready to die on the pitch and try to win things. Milan without CL football btw. KDB on the other hand went to Napoli because of different things. Beautiful city, good climate, nice food, decent salary, still playing UCL etc. He isn’t ready to sweat for the shirt at all.
But I don't think you've solved anything here, every league demands a certain profile of player and if you don't fit that criteria you are likely to struggle. Rashford has simply done that. Also, many epl legends have come from la Liga and shone.
Ever since Raphinha left the EPL and EFL and became one of the best in Spain, I’ve believed EPL players can thrive in La Liga, as long as they’re fast, fit, and strong.
La Liga is very technical, similar to the PSL, where players can afford moments of rest during play. Their game relies more on technique than strength. In the EPL, you rest, they score. The game is relentless, faster, more intense, and less technical, almost programmed chaos.
That’s why technical players often struggle or pick up injuries in the EPL, while the runners, those with pace, endurance, and adaptability, thrive in La Liga. Marcus Rashford is the perfect example of what success looks like from EPL to La Liga
@maxodzi @Sentletse I was researching, I’m seeing it was due to money supply, land reform in Zim & September 11. Mainly from end of 2001-2002. It’s crazy how a short period of instability can affect price changes permanently.
