Most traders think trading more = making more money. Reality is usually the opposite.
When I first entered the market, I also believed one good trade could cover a whole week — or even a month. The more I traded, the more I focused on every small move, and the easier it became to get pulled into noise. Result: higher frequency, lower edge, more exhaustion.
Recently I tried reducing the number of trades, widening the holding range, and accepting smaller wins per setup. The process became noticeably more stable.
If you’re feeling drained from overtrading, ask yourself: Does my edge still exist when frequency increases? Or am I trading long-term survival for the feeling of “being productive”?
Trading isn’t a competition of who sits in front of the screen longer. It’s a game of probability, discipline, and surviving long enough for the edge to compound.

So I focused only on refining my entries and ignored how much I was willing to lose.
The strategy was fine.
The position size was not.
No edge is strong enough to keep you standing if you keep sizing too large.
