A big well done to James Howitt from Sampford Peverell Primary School for winning my first Xmas card competition.
It was great to see so much enthusiasm and creativity on show across over 200 entries!
I loved James’ design and can’t wait to share it with my friends and family.
This is the news that Tiverton has been waiting over a decade for. Glad that the Govt has finally listened and agreed to honour their pledge to rebuild the school. Thank you to all involved who’ve helped fight for this - inc @our_tivvy_high and Jon Sowden.

Was great to stop by the ‘Re-Rooted’ cafe yesterday. It’s a great community initiative, ran by Sustainable Tiverton, that aims to stop food going to waste and ensure everyone gets a warm nutritious meal. Do check it out! https://t.co/dXHeBozqEV
Held my first in-person surgery this morning. Big thanks to @BeehiveHoniton for hosting us.
Was great to chat to people face to face and be able to get straight to work helping them.
I’m planning more surgeries across the constituency soon - so keep your eyes peeled for info!
A big well done to Aiden from Two Moors Primary School for being one of the winners of @TheParentsZone's #FindYourBalance competition and having his work shown in Parliament.
Great to see his work firsthand and love the idea of the internet being our Jiminy Cricket in future!
This morning spoke to @CalumAM on @TimesRadio about the shocking levels of sewage being dumped into our rivers and beaches - including several Blue Flag beaches in Devon.
The Govt has taken their eye off the ball for years and must now clamp down on this illegal behaviour.
.@sascampaigns new report reveals the scale of illegal sewage dumps from negligent water companies.
With my son becoming ill after swimming in a local river, this is personal for me.
Today I raised the report in Parliament and called for a debate on how we stop this behaviour.
We must stop wayward water companies illegally dumping raw sewage into our rivers and beaches.
Their actions are not only polluting our waterways, it's also putting people's health at risk and undermining our vital tourism industry.
The Gov must act now!

Great to have @EdwardJDavey join me for a visit to Axminster Medical Practice yesterday.
Really admire the work the team are doing to help people get they treatment they need.
@LibDems want to recruit more GPs and ease the burden, ensuring patients can be seen within a week.
Our plan would:

Too many people across Devon are unable to see their Doctor when they need to, with hard-working GPs overstreched and being let down by the Conservative Govt.
@LibDems want to boost GP recruitment and give you a legal right to see a GP within seven days.

For years we've been promised a new school, yet have seen the existing building crumble while other schools are rebuilt.
That's why I've written to @kitmalthouse asking him when the Govt will finally do something and to visit to see the situation first-hand.
@our_tivvy_high
It’s clear the Conservatives still don’t get it and have no plan to help those struggling.
We need Parliament to be recalled urgently so we can fix this shambolic budget before it totally sinks our economy.
Liz Truss is gambling with all of our futures by giving huge tax cuts to the wealthy and paying for it with reckless extra borrowing.
Pubs, schools, businesses, pensioners, and families are on the brink. They’re the ones who need help - not bankers and big corporations.
Just got back from Petroc College in Tiverton, where they're hosting an open event this afternoon. Really impressed with how much the site has developed in just three months. Chatted to some excellent educators and keen students - a really positive learning environment!
Just back from a 5 day trip to Kyiv, where I met with officials as part of my work on the APPG for Ukraine & @LibDems Defence Spokesperson.
So inspiring to see the Ukrainian people rallying together in face of Russia’s illegal invasion and the real difference our aid is making.
Our local pubs are teetering on the brink. They’re facing soaring energy bills and are seeing their costs go up almost daily.
@LibDems are calling for grants of up to £50,000 - to give small businesses the lifeline they need and protect our communities.

Our small businesses need emergency help to cope with sky-rocketing energy bills.
We are calling for grants of up to £50,000 to save the British High Street.
