When this is over can we all go on holiday to Ukraine?
Can we fill their hotels, eat at their restaurants, buy souvenirs & gifts from their shops & feel honoured to be in their company?
Letโs not just send aid now but letโs help them rebuild with our tourism in the future ๐บ๐ฆ
@StartRiteShoes

.@GillianKeegan we think you meant:
Every day, Government underfunding of our schools is causing disruption to our childrenโs education.
Children should not have to learn in crumbling buildings, in huge classes, taught by teachers not qualified in their subjects, without textbooks or other resources. Iโm announcing I will properly engage with @NEUnion to solve the crisis in our schools. #ValueEducation
And here it is.
Today was supposed to be a day off. ๐ (hence the Tiktok content you saw this morning)

AN OPEN LETTER TO SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
Dear David;
This is a first: the BBC have demoted a wildlife documentary of yours to Iplayer-only. They have done this because they are afraid that the Govt will jump on them if the BBC broadcasts it: because it shows how desperately depleted British wildlife is.
Sir David, we need you to speak out about this. Please declare your displeasure. You have nothing to lose. And our wildlife, not to mention Truth, has everything to gain.
Please tell the Bbc and the Govt that you want this documentary episode to air. Where it belongs. On the airwaves, on the prime time schedule.
Thank you.
This video from 2018 is on the BBC's website and says,
"Gary is not involved in any news or political output for the BBC, and as such, any expression of his personal political views, does not affect the BBC's impartiality."
What changed in 2023? #IStandWithGaryLineker
Bectu, the union which represents the broadcasting sector, says it had been a "deeply concerning decision from the BBC".
"It will give the appearance that they have bowed to political pressure from ministers to take someone off air for disagreeing with Government policies.โ
The PM cannot distance himself from the Lineker impartiality row, because it has become intertwined with the dispute over whether its chair Sharp is sufficiently impartial following the circumstances of his appointment. And only the government can hire or fire a BBC chair
