Bucs RB Bucky Irving is rehabbing from off-season shoulder surgery and should be ready later this summer, per source. Irving is not expected to participate in mini-camp in a few weeks, but he is likely to be ready at some point during training camp.
QB Matthew Stafford was due $31 million this season on the four-year, $160 million deal that he signed after the Rams Super Bowl win.
Stafford has three years remaining on the $40-million-per-year contract extension he signed in 2022, and had only $15 million guaranteed after this season. As Stafford enters his age-36 season, he was seeking more security.
In case you needed a reminder –
- Bucs win Super Bowl at HOME
- Lightning won the Stanley Cup
- Rays were American League Champions
- Rowdies were USL Eastern Conference Champions

So Lightning win the Stanley Cup, Rays make the World Series, and Bucs now one of four NFL teams still alive. Crazy few months continues for Tampa Bay teams.
