This man has admitted to brutally murdering young Jerobejin Van Wyk (13) in Klawer. Daniel Smit (58) alleged that the children were stealing fruit from his garden and made him extremely angry.

He then chased them with his vehicle and caught up with Jerobejin. He took the child to his home where he (as he told court yesterday) prepared a sandwich and cool drink for the boy after which he broke the boys neck with movements he alleges to have learnt from some kind of Chinese occult he was allegedly part of years back.

He hid the body in his freezer until later that night when he cut up the body before burning the parts. The body parts he couldn’t burn, he dumped in the two drains and a big blue drum at his yard.

This is the kind of evil that should never see the outside of a solitary cell again. Pure evil.
