With all the football going on, I feel I need to mention this again.
Don’t forget about Rashid Mazaheri!
We haven’t heard from him in over 6 weeks. He’s still imprisoned.
⚽️🇮🇷Shameful from USA and FIFA, someone like Mehrpouya Asadi who is one of the analysts of Team Melli had a similar role in Aluminium prior to joining TM. He has been with the team since the Asian Cup. His long track record in the PGPL should have alleviated all cause for concern
🚨 Full list of the 13 members of the delegation whose visas have not been issued.
1. Mehdi Taj – President of the FFIRI
2. Mehdi Mohammadnabi – Team Manager
3. Hedayat Mombini - Secretary General FFIRI
4. Mohsen Motamedkia – Media Manager
5. Mehdi Kharati – Executive Manager
6. Masoud Ardeshir – Executive Member
7. Mehdi Malekabad – Head of Security
8. Soroush Salmasi – Analyst
9. Mehrpouya Asadi – Analyst
10. Reza Javedan – Logistics / Coordinator
11. Hamed Afzali – International Affairs FFIRI
12. Omid Jamali – Head of International Affairs FFIRI
13. Siamak Ghalichkhani – Media
🚨 Visas have been issued for all the players, and several staff members.
According to local sources, some members of the staff and administration didn’t get their visas.
The names of the those who didn’t receive their visas are unknown.
@PRPvoice Yeah I’m not a fan of these IRGC people who usually accompany the team in order to keep tabs on the players. I also don’t want them to get visas. Hopefully the security the team has at its disposal is good and will keep them out of harms way when in the US.
🚨⚽️🇮🇷The reason the Esteghlal transfer has not gone through is because they are currently serving a transfer ban. They are hopeful to appeal this decision this summer and have it lifted. Until then though they can’t get Khalifeh(I personally hope he goes to Turkey).
21 year old Aluminium Arak goalkeeper Mohammad Khalifeh has received an official offer from Turkish Süper Lig side Göztepe, who finished 6th this season.
Khalifeh is being considered as a replacement should Polish goalkeeper Mateusz Lis leave the club this summer.

@PRPvoice When they are in the US for 48 hours each game who is going to be keeping the team safe? Security provided by Fifa which in turn has been provided by the US? Not trying to fear monger or raise any alarm bells but it’s somthing to consider. Hopefully all goes well.
@PRPvoice I’m 50-50 on the security guards(not that guy particularly I have no clue who he is), but I’m concerned about TM safety in the US, not just from LA Iranians but also Americans. People have lost sons and daughters in the recent war. Might try to take out this anger on the players.
@PRPvoice All of these people are then referred to as the national team staff. So yes I hope the staff have all gotten visas as they are all essential in the team preparing and performing optimally during this tournament.
@PRPvoice A national team consists of: players, reserve players, media personal(people who run the teams socials), kit man(multiple people), medical staff(including nutritionist, physio, medics, doctor, etc.), coach, multiple assistant coaches, goalkeeper coach and assistant coach etc.
@ryan81469291 Nothing new to be honest. He’s sorta back training with the squad, but still dealing with this injury of his. He’s in some sessions and not in others from what I’ve been told.
🚨🚨⚽️🇮🇷REPORT
Mahmoudi and Habibinejad reportedly remain with Team Melli as contingency options in case of visa issues or injuries within the World Cup squad.
Noorafkan has reportedly left camp after being placed on the standby list and is said to be unhappy with the decision
@monsieurguepard Khalifeh will accompany the team to Mexico, but it’s unlikely any of the keepers get injured so he will stay outside the squad list. Taheri also unlikely to make the squad even if one of the strikers gets injured and is ruled out.
@TaremisdaGoat@Persian_Culer Shoja has been good since the winter transfer window. Not only for club but also country. Meanwhile Noorafkan has been mostly benched in the second half of the season in Sepehan and in large part has never performed for the national team
@JuniorRodigan Yeah but he unfortunately isn’t that good when it comes to heading the ball(his only weakness in my opinion). He’d rather block the ball with his foot mid air than just head it away(that block was amazing though, risky, but amazing nevertheless)
🇮🇷 Iran NT injury update:
Roozbeh Cheshmi is receiving treatment for a hamstring injury, while Mehdi Torabi is recovering from a calf injury.
Dennis Dargahi & Mohammad Mohebi are on individualized training programs under the supervision of the team’s medical and fitness staff.
🚨📏 STAT 🚨
⚽️🇮🇷Iran are ranked as the 17th tallest team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an average height of 183.7 cm.
🇮🇷 Team Melli are also the tallest out of all Asian representatives.
Within Group G, only Belgium 🇧🇪 have a taller squad, averaging 185.8 cm.
⚽️🇮🇷I’ve seen a lot of hate directed towards Team Melli and its players in recent weeks. As someone who has supported this team for years, I wanted to share my thoughts on why I believe much of it is misplaced.
There was a lot I wanted to say, so apologies for the length.
