@charlie1148041@epistemophagy@tdhkz It’s based on the story of Hermaphroditus who was a god born male but then had female sex characteristics given to him later on
@JoePostingg In British Columbia pharmacists can actually prescribe quite a bit of medication since 2023. Mostly for more minor stuff; acne, birth control, hemorrhoids etc. They can also renew most prescriptions, change the regime (ie 2x or 1x daily) and more with some restrictions
@matt_kercher This isn’t even fully funding the bc housing projects that have had a lot of their funding pulled? Many of them have had to either scale back the number of homes or are going to be cancelled
@thereisnobeth As a verified penis and ball haver, blue balls is a myth. At most it is very slightly uncomfortable to the point I would never even consider masturbating to make it go away. Different people might have different experiences but I have yet to see a genuine person say it is bad
@KarmSumal@cardioraj@KenSimCity As I said, pedestrianizing streets is a concept that is gaining popularity because of how well it works. It was less popular then so it was on less people’s radar and had less support from people. Actions speak louder than words. They would’ve kept the gastown pilot if they cared
@KarmSumal@cardioraj@KenSimCity You can’t be serious. Cope, onecity, and greens all strongly support pedestrian zones and wanted to continue the gastown pilot instead of gutting it like ABC did. Ped zones have been gaining prominence in the urban planning in the last decade and thats why it wasnt done earlier
@KarmSumal@cardioraj@KenSimCity ABC have literally voted against making streets pedestrianized. Reduced car free zones in Gastown a shit ton even after success
@RM_Transit When it’s at no cost to the taxpayer to do then it can make sense. There are less tangible costs for having new teams taking over a project, even if there’s continuity on the provinces side
@MancusiNathan@SpacedOutTracey Think outside the existing contract man. I (and others) are saying the standard contracts should need to include some type of profit sharing. And that the company making all this profit could do a nice thing and give that money as bonuses anyway because it’s morally right
@MancusiNathan@SpacedOutTracey It’s a baseline pay and then additional pay if movie does well enough. It’s not some new concept. All bonuses work this way and lots of revenue sharing schemes work in a similar manner
@steven_nikolic@Sarahattack1@Prominent_Bryan We spend taxes to boost the economy and store sales all the time. FIFA is one of the most recent examples and that was not a good use of money. Spending only 75k on this event that over 200,000 people will attend is such a no brainer you don’t need to do that much analysis
@steven_nikolic@Sarahattack1@Prominent_Bryan This literally boosts the economy by a large amount. People from all over the lower mainland come to Van and spend money at restaurants, bars, shops, etc that they otherwise wouldn’t or they would spend it in whatever municipality they are from which isn’t as beneficial to us
@vanliberals@Emily_Lowan@BCGreens You’re away they aware they are not the same party? I would think a conservative party who stole the liberals name would understand that
@CondorDM82@globeandmail The government is bought by a bunch of rich people too. They are not in opposition with each other and haven’t been for decades. Only slight differences here and there that don’t really affect their power overall
@CondorDM82@globeandmail Called you brother and in a general sense a friend because I care what happens to you. We in this together whether you realize it or not and even if your fighting on an opposing side
