@MarcDrellishak @beinlibertarian Much of this is in response to HOW people are being detained. Multiple incidents of people showing up to their court hearings for papers/citizenship and being detained there.
We were told "worst of the worst" and they're taking mostly middle-aged moms.

Maybe it's not "purely for existing" but they're moving the goalposts.

@Victorshi2020 The law was NOT ruled constitutional in any way. In a decision that does not follow the status quo, a stay was granted on the law while one 9th circuit panel chose to not rule on it and passed it along to another panel.

@AGRobBonta So citizens that go through all the requirements of the state, and pay all the necessary fees to carry a firearm legally in California are doing so to then go and commit crimes? Seems like illegally carrying would be easier if your plan is to do something illegal.

@CAgovernor Citizens which are forced to register their firearm with the state, go through an additional background check and interview process, complete training and receive a certification, all for a CCW permit, probably aren't ones you need to focus on in regards to firearm safety.

@robfrawley @cttechgenius @JoJoFromJerz Maine has a "yellow flag" law, which has been used quite a bit there. After his threats and time in a mental health facility, getting an order to remove firearms from his possession would have likely been pretty easy.
