Season 2 as the Pitching Coach at Minot State comes to an end. What a year it was for our program.

After winning a combined 32 games over the previous two seasons, this group battled to 26 wins this year alone and earned a berth into the conference tournament. Even more impressive was the way we finished. Winning 13 of our last 15 games and showing the fight, toughness, and belief this program is built on.

I couldn’t be more proud of the strides our pitching staff made this season. Our team ERA dropped by 3.7 runs per game, every major statistical category improved drastically, and we went from the 12th ranked pitching staff in the conference to finishing 4th. We also had our first All-Conference pitcher since 2022, which speaks volumes about the work our guys put in every single day.

The buy-in from our pitchers was special to watch, and seeing this entire team fight for one another meant a lot to me as someone who once played in this program and now has the opportunity to coach in it.

This season laid the foundation for where we want to go moving forward, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
