It was a great honor to join fellow Ministers and Ministers of State as we accompanied Her Excellency the Vice President to meet Owekitiibwa Katikkiro.
Owekitiibwa Katikkiro delivered the message of His Majesty the King, Ssabasajja Kabaka. Her Excellency the Vice President delivered the message of Jjajja wa Bazukulu, His Excellency President Museveni. 🙏
The Buganda Kingdom Administration also bestowed upon Her Excellency the Vice President the royal name _NAMAKULA_. 🙏🙏
We left united and energized, with one clear commitment: Development must respect culture, and culture must fuel development! 🙏

Yesterday I took the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Minister as State Minister for Local Government. I stand here with deep gratitude to His Excellency the President for identifying me, guiding me, and trusting me with this mandate.

Millions of Ugandans are affected because of corruption in local government. It has robbed our mothers of healthcare, our children of quality education, and our farmers of working markets. That ends now.

To the people of Uganda, and especially my people of Greater Masaka who have walked this journey with me: I assure you that we will serve you diligently. Your trust will not be betrayed.

Together with my Senior Minister, Hon. @BalaamBarugahar , we are putting in place a fierce supervisory system to ensure service delivery. No more ghost projects. No more absentee officials. Every shilling released must touch the ground and change a life.

Ordinary Ugandans must and will enjoy their share of the national cake. Functional service delivery is not a favor — it is your right. From the LC1 to the district, we will demand accountability. We will inspect. We will follow up. We will act.

I did not come here to occupy office. I came here to work. My record in Greater Masaka is clear: I fought land grabbers, mafias, and oppressors of the poor. I bring that same energy to this ministry.

We stay in our lane, we mind the people’s business, and we deliver.

For God and My Country.
