Yet another issue teeming with breathtaking visuals, courtesy of Devmalya Pramanik. There's a ton of incredible art in comics rn, but this run is consistently on another level. And that's matched by the unflagging energy of Jed MacKay's storytelling. So pumped for Midnight Sons.
I loved this show back in the day. I was old enough to be fully aware it was trash, but it was glorious trash. The ninja craze of the early '80s gave us nothing but gold. Every time you turned around, there was more ninja shit to enjoy. What a time to be alive.
The Master (1984). Lee Van Cleef is a ninja master in this short-lived NBC TV show, returning to America to find his daughter. Tim Van Patten (later to direct The Sopranos) is his hot-headed apprentice. Bill Conti did the exciting theme music.
Pitched as a rival to the A-Team, the dynamic ninja duo drive around in a van helping strangers in distress, having exciting fights and generally doing all the usual master/apprentice tropes. Only 13 episodes were made and maybe that was enough.
@HQNewsNow If only these people could experience consequences for being this stupid. Sadly, it's everyone else who has to pay the price for these morons who belatedly discover what was obvious all along, while they keep being rich, entitled assholes who just shrug and say "Huh, who knew?"
Obsession has been removed from NBCUniversal’s digital release calendar, where it had been scheduled to arrive on June 2.
The move suggests Curry Barker’s breakout hit could now receive a 45-day exclusive theatrical window
Love seeing indie horror movies killing it. I roll my eyes, however, at the jump to point to this as some seismic cultural shift. For decades, one of the most regular box office phenomenons is low budget horror movies coming out of nowhere and exploding.

@emeriticus This is exactly why Republicans find it virtually impossible to abandon Trump. Admitting he's been an embarrassing failure means owning up to the fact that they were the easily duped idiots everyone said they were. Sticking with Trump is the only way to stave off humiliation.
