Homophones, synonums, Homographes (among others like them) are a gift and a curse to people with dyslexia). I often take the positive and when I can’t spell a word, I’ll look for another word that explains the same thing that I can spell. #dyslexia #dyslexiaawareness

It’s crazy how losing the top or bottom of text can have such a different effect the legibility of text. It's clear that the top is easier to read but no one has any idea why. What do you think?

Recently I spelled ‘border’ ‘boarder’.

Most people were forgiving, hundreds were not: ‘thick’ / ‘can’t be an MP if you can’t even spell’ / ‘stupid’ / ‘resign and let someone with a brain take over’ etc.

Colour can have an effect on reading, making sure the background and type are in good contrast are key. When this is done incorrectly it can be quite a headache. Some prefer colour overlays too, what do you use?

When designing this book first time around phonetics was the first thing I found that pushed me to make the book. It reminded me of how I would sound out a word and often spell them. Is it similar for you?
