@vinguard254 This narrative of Chicago is played out. There are many facts that signify the cultural, economical, industrial, innovative, sociopolitical, etc. dominance of Chicago. Cut it out.
#Day365 of 365: One day, I’ll afford a city of epiphanies with refunds of any mortal understanding for who survives in America. Any selfish intention. Any renewal. Any question. Asking to gain knowledge while asking to determine knowledge.
Run for your life. Today, the reveries that exist exhausted the lines curving right angles colliding into words. What’s left to say? Peace be my survival. Peace be with you. Peace be found within what is looked for. Peace be my last call.

#Day363 of 365: [volume increases, adamant tone] - “Wake up. Wake up. You’ve been sleeping a day of grace away. Carrying on about this past year like you Dick Clark down in Times Square. Forty-one windows, a Rolex, [beat] A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.”
(grandma cont) “You know, sleep talking may run on the other side on your family. [chuckles] And what’s Soho Home?” - [faintly] “Soho House, grandma.” - “Soho Home, Soho House. This is home but the couch is not your bed! Get up!”

#Day362 of 365: A mother interferes, the son finds his protection for the battles in this lifetime. A grandmother interferes, she’s the representative of an angel on Earth. And the son is just a child again.
“Dreams are casted, so precious. I didn’t promise you the world, grandson. But there’s a world of promise today, in tomorrows. God’s the one to listen to when you need to believe.”
(cont) “And I know you could’ve been married by now but you haven’t been married to a commitment you’re happy with in a long time. [walks away, voice fades] Anything else you need?”

#Day361 of 365: - “…we don’t need it to work bc of the reasons it doesn’t.” [calm] - “I can see my grandmother waving in my direction from the front door. [deep breath] I’ll call as soon as I can.” I exited the Black SUV like a politician bearing a forced smile for the republic.
- “Grandson! How are you?” - “What a year it’s been, grandma. Happy Birthday! I tried to get--“ - “Your eyes, [grabs face] they always did drift away when you’re stressed. Who speaks for the excuses?”

#Day360 of 365: - “Here I am, thinking I spent the right amount of time mastering how to read you and react accordingly. Never preparing for how--“ - “Every man has done this to every woman, ever. It drives us crazy, by the way. But, not now. Now, we both have to listen.”
She was right. We get very few chances to react twice for the first time. To like and love, someone-- something. Before it becomes our tangible imagination. [scoffs] She was right. Now we both have to listen.

#Day359 of 365: But months had gone by before she showed up again; at my doorstep. Apparently I couldn’t see the present she was carrying. Only to have her delivery intercepted by my own shortsighted agenda.
I couldn’t see the love psalm entering into a bridge in real life. All I had seen was the ballads written on the hems of a dramatic romance. The humor in my eyes.
“How did you not say anything when y--” - “Because I was scared.” - “Are you still?” [beat] - “I think so.”

#Day358 of 365: I usually can read her words as if I wanted to hear her smiling. This is the naivety that complemented the belief nothing was critical of a ‘call me as soon as you can’ message. Even though we just talked the previous evening.
[phone rings, call answered] Ambiguity was short-lived as she delivered the message. Her voice fell faint into segregated cries. Mine, minimum change. Reminding her to breathe, immediately recalling every detail from that Sunday in September.

#Day357 of 365: [phone lock sound chimes] It feels good to be home. It feels real good to be home. Where else do we find the feeling of our original rhythm, expression, and authenticity?
Omitting any irony of other pressures, it seems so conditional to expect many endurances to accelerate thru the home first. I still do. It’s useless to sacrifice the heart and heritage to shine in society. [msg notification] “Call me as soon as you can.”

#Day356 of 365: [typing] “The hunger of a promise provides supremacy. I don’t write like this for the dumb or those alike. Which bodes restrictions for our energy, thought to be impartially boundless. The tethering conceals the good of the bad.”
