Album Review for Terri’s Baby by Juice Lord

Another artist that has reached out to me to introduce a new project. Now after a few listens, what I can say is that there are so many artists who started to really get music out after the pandemic that you almost miss the ones who actually are musically inclined.

Juice Lord’s album is a lyrical work of art that deserves respect. It’s got the modern sound mix but the overall vibe of a lyrical 2000’s album. It’s fairly impressive when you listen to the pocket of raps, the cadence of which the bars are delivered and the funky rifts that are within the production as well.

There’s a solid storytelling element and there are some interesting bass drops and instrumentals as well. Overall the album has some solid song structure, consistent melodies, features that actually hold up to the standard of the project and an overall good mix of lyrical yet modern sound. It’s worth a listen.
