@GeorgieIsOk@ErnestoHGF It really depends on which state or school, I had pretty comprehensive sex ed courses in elementary, middle, and high school (this was mid 2000s - 2010s). It’s baffling how this stuff is still considered “taboo” when those are the years when you start to go though puberty 🤨
@SynVT___@cinnamontoastk Not necessarily, I think most of us think/realize that the point being made here is correct, but none of the individuals that are negatively effected by the current economic climate really have the money, power, or influence do anything about it, so all we can do is complain lol
@TomJoadMacale@TuskerShrew @SmarterMomNews @JenCages@allastras@Lane_Stellmaker I know you can’t (and won’t) understand what it’s like to feel like a stranger to yourself, but I have legitimately never been happier, gender affirming healthcare saved my life, and I would never want anyone to go through what I did without hope that one day it would be okay
@TomJoadMacale@TuskerShrew @SmarterMomNews @JenCages@allastras@Lane_Stellmaker Feel like I was “growing out of it” puberty made it infinitely worse, I felt like I was dying. I’ve been on hormones for almost 2 years now, and every single day I look at myself in the mirror I feel like I can breathe, like for the first time in my life my body belongs to me
@Smatterbrain Pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong) the only place humans don’t grown hair are the palms of our hands and soles of our feet, we have vellus hair on practically every inch of our body (spare the inside of our mouths and stuff)
